I was very disappointed with my stay this trip. I have stayed at this same hotel 2 other times and was very pleased. First, when me and my daughter walked into the room, my daughter found two mouth retainers on the floor by the chair. Out in the open, so they should NOT have been missed. That worried me on how well they actually cleaned the room. I did take them down to the front desk and let her know. Second, our room had a horrible smell to it. Almost like a mildew smell, like something got wet and was left out. It was really strong. Third, the gentleman that worked the night shift at the front desk was VERY rude. We were there for a softball tournament so there were a lot of us. We all went outside by the pool area. We had propped the door with a chair and he came to us, pushed the chair out and told us that quiet time was at 10:00, (it was around midnight), and said that we are not allowed to prop the doors. Let the door shut, and left. It was very rude. We would have gladly just shut the door if he would have explained that to us. It wasn't a big deal, he just did it very rudely. After about an hour of being outside, we decided to go to the lobby because the bugs were bad. We were NOT loud at all, yet he came down the hall yelling at us saying again that quiet time was at 10:00 and that there's no drinking allowed in the lobby. I did see later that it says no drinking in the lobby, however, we did last year and had no issues so we just assumed it was ok. Besides that, the next night, the same guy was working and was allowing another team to sit in the lobby, AFTER QUIET HOURS, and allow them to drink. And they WERE NOT quiet. I just felt he was very rude to us. My overall experience there this time was horrible and we have decided that our team will NOT stay there next year.
Oh and I also need more towels and washrags on our second night but they told me they were all...
Read moreWe stayed in room 304 and have a few complaints. There were carpet beetle larve everywhere. I thought they were bed bugs but upon closer look and google, they were not thankfully. We found some crawling on the chair, in our beds, bathroom, and a bunch of dead ones behind the bed and under the chair cushion. I was sleeping and found an adult beetle crawling in my pillow, and one in the shower. I never understand why some hotels never change ALL the sheets between people. We always inspect the place before setting bags down and found multiple hairs from different people inside both our beds. I forgot to take pictures to prove my claim. In my bed there were red and yellow stains on the sheets and a smell of body juices if you know what I mean. We only needed one bed so we didn't request new sheets for that one. After we got rid of all the beetles, we didn't see anymore on the last day of our stay. I have no comment on the pool as we did not use it. Breakfast was good according to my wife. The service was top tier. The lady at the front was so cool and nice and the guy who appeared to be the gm was friendly and charismatic. 5 stars for the staff. Also the AC might need cleaned because it smelled like urine scented mildew if you can imagine that. Every time we'd come back to our room, it would hit you in the face immediately. Staying in the room we didn't notice after a couple minutes. Bathrooms were very clean aside from the bugs. Showers were always hot and caulking was mold free and new looking around the bathroom. I would recommend this place but request new sheets if things dont change with housekeeping. All my complaints are things that can be easily fixed so I again would recommend this place. Ive stayed at much worse places that would make this hotel look like heaven. Overall had...
Read moreMy wife and I stayed here for almost two weeks over the Christmas holidays while in the area visiting family. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Jasper and since it only takes about 5-10 minutes to get downtown it was perfect in my opinion. This appears to be a rather new hotel and was very well kept, staff was super friendly, the room was very nicely appointed, and the public areas were attractive and clean. The beds were comfortable and each bed had a selection of pillows depending on your sleeping needs. Breakfast was served each morning and during our stay it was scrambled eggs, biscuits (not homemade, just FYI), sausage links, sausage gravy, a variety of cereals, fruits, breads including muffins, bagels and bread for toasting, yogurts and waffles made to order. Beverages included water bottles, juice, milk, coffee and hot water for tea. The breakfast offerings were good, food had good taste and was always hot; it was not anything gourmet but more like what you would expect from a hotel breakfast and there were plenty of local places to eat at as well. I was disappointed with their coffee which was very weak, obviously who ever makes the coffee either doesn’t drink coffee or the coffee to water ratio is way off. They had plenty of options available and like I mentioned there were places to get a good cup of coffee like the Hardee’s up the street that was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again...
