Wings and Rings — Restaurant in Jasper

Decided to take a family member to eat at this location and was talking the place up the whole time about how good it was. I hadn’t ate here in probably 2 years and was pretty disappointed today. Seems like the quality has diminished. The plates used to serve were different, the cups are now plastic(I could have swore they were glass before), etc. The menu was very difficult to read because everything is just crammed on front and back and it had places where black sharpie was used to I assume mark out items they no longer had. When it comes to the food, I was pretty disappointed with the wings and this place used to be my #1 spot to get them! They just seemed super tough and rubbery almost like they had been frozen for quite sometime. Didn’t want to give a terrible rating because I’m sure they are short staffed and I understand that sometimes restaurants go through rough spells. I personally though do not plan to go back anytime soon unless someone I’m acquainted with tells me it’s better. Where to start....I called to place a to go order (simple enough, right). The gentleman on the phone asks me if I can hold a moment, I’m cool with that. 8 minutes pass and I decide to have someone else try from another number...the fella answers the phone and proceeds TO TAKE THE ORDER. All the while, I’m on hold listening to a continuous beeping noise while I wait to place my order. After taking the order, he clicks over and asks if I’m still there to take my order?!?! Are we serious right now? How does this even happen? Naturally I’m irate so I ask to speak to a manager where I wait an additional 5 minutes to speak to a manager who tells me they are busy and it happens. First off, what kind of managers are you employing that their response to bypassing a customer in que is “oh well, my bad”. As many times as I’ve eaten here and dealt with the subpar food and lack luster service due to the convenience and lack of a Buffalo Wild Wings near by, this will assuredly be my last visit. I stopped by Wings and Rings with some family for lunch when I was down in Jasper. The first thing I noticed when I arrived and went to wash my hands is that the bathroom was out of soap. I brought this to somebody's attention and they corrected it, but that was a little concerning right off the hop. We ordered our food, which took a little while because they seemed to be understaffed. I ordered the Korean BBQ chicken sandwich, which should have been spicy according to the menu. However, it really wasn't spicy at all. That said, it was still pretty good. We did have an issue with one of the orders we placed. They brought the wrong sandwich out initially, but it seemed like the correct one was already prepared back in the kitchen. So they were quick to correct it.
