The management lady is two-faced. It was okay at first until I realize she does not like kids whatsoever she will find any kind of reason whoever has kids she will kick them out. But the other people that messed up rooms, party in them and made a big mess, she allowed them to come back. But I had kids and she was complaining that they were being very loud . The motel rooms were very clean inside a new beautiful sheets the housekeepers does a great job but the management lady she does not like her job she does not need to be in that position she's in she is not good with customer service she's always in a mood with me when she sees the kids .nobody was complaining but her. Yes I know kids they will be a little louder than adults but kids will be kids and I tried my best for them to behave and be quiet. Anybody should be allowed at the motel especially someone with kids. We should be treated equally and feel welcome there. Besides the people that is not appreciative and tear stuff up or damage the rooms they should not be there. But nobody did any damage. Maybe made a 5 minute pick up mess and she got mad, and told us to leave. It was nice at first but as time went on the "manager" lady was giving me attitude. Yes people have personal issues at home or whatever but do not bring that at work that is unprofessional. Customer service should always be friendly to customers. And I never once gave her an attitude. Yes I'm thankful she let us stay there for the time but it was wrong that she tell us that we had to leave. Vs the other people that would make a very big mess and party all night and be very loud they could stay.
Also I walked in the lobby a few times it smelled like marijuana a bunch of times. But they don't get kicked out??
Same goes for the "hookers" that are upstairs they have two rooms just for them so they know what to expect to clean when they get out.
Also they have a lot of cats that are outside on the side and they get on top of people's cars and scratch them and make the windshield very dirty. Also the manager cares more about the cats than us guest and workers. By the way.
Other than management the housekeeping ladies are awesome they work hard. They give you beautiful bed sheets, clean everything. I think they just need a new manager. That has a good attitude, and that is not so bad...
Read moreLet's begin with the positive - location. The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Jasper, Ga was situated near almost anything someone would need during a stay in Jasper, Ga. It is within 5 miles of downtown and near shops.
Now for the critiques - The first sight upon walking in to the lobby is two pallets and 1 stack of renovation materials 3 feet inside the lobby. These were not moved and were not worked at all during my 1 night stay.
The lobby and adjacent hallways were loud and busy with children using the luggage carts for scooters.
The 2nd floor hallway had bags of trash sitting on the floor next to the elevator. The door to housekeeping was open and one could hear and view everything taking place inside.
In both the lobby and 2nd floor hallway, there were portable dehumidifiers with an active warning light signaling their containment buckets were full.
The non-smoking room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. There are signs of poor maintenance and disrepair throughout the room.
If a recent cleaning of the room has been done, it was done with poor attention to detail and seems failure to report need for deeper cleaning to management for attention.
An apartment refrigerator was haphazardly placed in the room in a location were it could not be plugged in for use.
The Microtel in general is loud. Noise from adjacent rooms is such that it is not hard to decern the activity in the other room.
In the end, the night's sleep was uncomfortable...
Read moreVery rarely do I give high marks for small hotels. This particular hotel was better than most found in small towns. The service was good, the location was adequate and the rooms were very clean. When I return to Jasper this will be my hotel of choice. Thank you for a complaint free stay. SECOND VISIT This visit was very different from the first, everything was messed up! We were suppose to be booked for two nights, we got one and had to go through the process of booking another. We went upstairs dropped off our bags and went to a rehearsal dinner. We came back to the room and our key didn't work. After several tries, a man opens our door, he's in our room with our luggage and personal belongings(money, gifts & a gun(legal). This could have gone horribly wrong. The mystery man got the key from a friend and all he did was tell the front desk that his key wasn't working. They didn't check his ID and just activated the card. He was trying to get a free room(in my opinion). Everything was worked out, we got another room. Evidently the crew doesn't communicate because the morning person had no idea but she was the one person who took responsibility and fixed it. We were comped for the second night but that didn't make me feel any better about staying there. Security is important to me and if you can't sleep because you're afraid someone might come into your room, it's time to stay...
