This is a very nice and (mostly) quiet campground. When we arrived on Sunday there was a small wedding reception happening at the seasonal site next to ours. They, for the most part, were fine. There were a few that had one too many and were loudly arguing (who hasn't been there?). This was not the campground's fault. The next night there was a bit of a ruckus coming from the same group which if it wasn't deesclated by the most sober of the lot of them a phone call to the local athorities would have been constituted. Nevertheless, not an issue with the campground per se, but, one that could have been avoided. There are many things for families to do here. Not a bad playground, sand volleyball, hay wagon rides 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. There seem to be daily activities for the kids from arts and crafts, glow pool parties to make your own sundaes ($). The campground is diagonally across the street from Santa's Village which is a major plus. The one thing that they do need a major improvement on is the Wi-Fi. In the upper sites is it virtually non-existent, which if you are going to pay more.... I know some of you may say, "You're camping why do you need Wi-Fi?" My answer is... I don't but if you are going to advertise it at least make it readily available. Also, it is nice to be able to stream music while sitting by...

This camp ground is beautiful! They are top notch with keeping their land as beautiful as possible! As soon as a camper/tenter left a guy would come over and clean up the spot, rake it all up and put the table over the fire pit and it’s ready for the next person to come on in. The pools were amazing! They were not freezing cold but not so warm that it wasn’t refreshing! They have awesome chairs so you can also sit and relax as you soak up the sun! The arcade isn’t huge but it keeps the kids busy for awhile. I give three stars because there’s not a lot of camp sites with sewer hookups, which caused for grey water backup! Eew! You have to drive up, dump it an return to your site! What a pain in the butt! Also, our site had sand/clay an not much grass so it made for a very big mess. The family shower was absolutely amazing, the water pressure was awesome! The other ones weren’t the best but did the job! However I noticed they did not sweep the floors just mopped them and when I say mop I mean soaked the floor! It was a mess! The outside was very clean and well put together though. I also had to return something to the general store because their workers allowed my 10 year old step son to charge something to our site, and that I found very careless of them! I refuse to pay $5.99 for a box of Walmart brand...

We had 2 sites for our “family” vacation. We were a large group with multiple tents. The sites are not level so finding a good spot for the tent is difficult. They had just been hit with the storm so the flooded, heavy flowing creek and water damage, closed pool were not factors in this review (these were out of their control). That being said-the paver by the well traveled path from the upper part of the campground to the bathhouse that remained loose for 2 days until my daughter fixed it was an overlooked safety/tripping hazard. The water in the faucets in the bathroom is too hot not to place some sort of warning for the parents and small children. The streets throughout the park are not marked as far as safe direction for use-especially the one that has no outlet and forced me to back up because there isn’t any way to turn around 😡 There weren’t any paper towels in the ladies room for a day and a half-one was completely empty and the automatic sensor on the other wasn’t working. The laundry room hours are posted INSIDE the laundry room and while waiting for them to open at 9… no one came until another gentleman waiting outside with use called the office. Despite the negative, the location close to Santa’s Village is great, the amenities and activities are plentiful and the staff is...

The motel and campground was nice. Clean and quiet. The pools and hot tub were great. The activities were nice. The room itself was just to small for our family of 6. When I called to ask about a larger room they said they had pull out cots you could rent... giving the impression there was room inside the room to add multiple roll away beds. So we rented a room and upon arrival found the rooms so small we had to move the table and chairs to fit the twin fold up in the room and then the bed was squished between the front window and the bed. This was fine for our 4 year old but it blocked the air conditioning unit. A cot we had brought was placed in front of the 2 hotel beds. There wasnt enough room to place it near the wall and the second bed. And a second roll away bed wouldn't fit. The table then had to squeeze in the front of the beds making it awkward to walk in the room. We would return but definitely rent an RV instead of a room.

It’s a great family friendly campground and motel. A newly renovated general store is also located here. It has great items for those last minutes things you forgot. Along with a good variety of food and drinks. Lantern resort apparel is sold at the general store aswell. The motel rooms are nicely cleaned and updated. Housekeepers do a great job keeping up with it all. Campsites are kept neat with trimmed grass along with the workers coming by after every time someone checks out of the site to refresh it by raking and cleaning out the fire pits. Fun activities are held at the pavilion including arts and crafts, candy bar bingo, along with movie nights on certain occasions, hayrides, s’mores at the fire pit near the big umbrellas and much more. The staff at the lantern resort goes above and beyond for their guests. I highly recommend staying here if you ever get the chance to.
