This mediocre property is not without it's charms: Spacious rooms, nice pool, wonderful breakfast room, easy access to I-71, Wendy's, Subway and Arby's nearby, a decent value, free daily USA Today and the friendly, attentive staff. But it falls short of an above average rating, due to several issues we had with our room that should have been addressed with routine maintenance and housekeeping. And I despise the bathroom/vanity lay out. ||||Our 2 queen room had plenty of lights...and plenty of huge dead bugs in the entryway and bathroom light globes. Owing it's late winter, they've accumulated for several months; which calls into question the property's housekeeping thoroughness and maintenance capability. And that's just an obvious deficiency. The vanity towel rack became dislodged, the comforters had stains on them, the toilet takes forever to flush, the faucet leaked whenever we ran hot water, you can't set the microwave clock, the clock radio time was 20 minutes slow, even at low setting, the mini-fridge froze everything, the TV guide options didn't display, ect. These minor issues add up and give an impression the hotel is run down or neglected; while it actually isn't.||||The room itself was spacious and well lit with a big table, two chairs, comfortable beds, three mirrors and good closet storage area; but we've never been fans of a split vanity removed from the toilet and bathtub area. To wit; the vanity presents itself the instant you enter the room and is integrated too completely with the living quarters. Across the hall is a tiny room with commode and bathtub; which is too claustrophobic with the door closed. To make matters worse, with the door open to the rest of the room; you get to stare into a full length mirror. Narcissism has many guises; but not to the point of having to watch yourself take a poop.||||Access from I-71 exit 69 is easy enough: Turn right from the ramp onto Route 41/State St., right onto Carr Rd. at the first light and 1/4 mile to hotel entrance on the right. Watch out for turning onto dead end McArthur Rd. just before the hotel property; there's only one entrance and it's not available from that road or any of the nearby restaurant...
Read moreI wish there was something nice to say about this place but there, unfortunately, is not. I stayed in the middle of their remodel so I tried to understand things. However, nothing was said online about a remodel and a mess first of all. I get there and it takes forever to sign me in so I questioned what was going on! I get sent to a room and all the rooms had numbers on a sticky note. He said it was just remodeled so I was excited to see it. It was a spacious room but if it was remodeled recently, then it needs more upgrades to the tub and other places. I stayed in June, the end of June. No breakfast was being offered and nothing was stated online so I was bummed about that too. No one but myself and one other person was staying there and I didn't feel the safest really at that location either. It looked very run down from the outside to the inside even with the updates.
I get home and see that they charged me 2x. I call them and they can't find my reservation then they say its under a different name but the card is on file for someone else. This conversation was after I called about 2 or 3 times to resolve the issue. Needless to say, it is November and the charges are still there after I was told they had a card reader issue and it would be fixed within 24 hours (that was in August I believe). I made the payment through Paypal so I still have that charge as well as the 2 charges on the card that was used for "incidentals". I will not be staying there again and do not recommend anyone to stay there. It takes a lot for me to give such a horrible rating but it was not a good experience at all. I hope it has improved since...
Read moreThe website clearly states pet friendly. I have a senior chihuahua that can’t be boarded so I needed a decent hotel to stay for 2 nights to attend a celebration of like for my brother in law and it was very unexpected and had no way to plan. We get there and there’s signs everywhere saying no pets it was 10pm and I was forced to lie and sneak my dog in. For the funeral I tried to find boarding and couldn’t so I was forced to lock my dog in the room. And pray no one came in and took him to the pound or something. The beds and pillows were comfy and the room was pretty clean. The shower pressure sucked bad. And it looked crummy. The corridors aren’t temperature controlled but the AC in the room was nice. The second night I killed a brown bug the size of a long pinky fingernail. It had a smooth back so it could have been a field bug or something. It didn’t have ridges on its back and I didn’t see any in the bed. It was on the side table. It was nice there was a fridge and microwave. The pool was kinda neat but it was too cold. The hot ton had caution tape. The indoor pool was like old school and retro and kinda fun but had a layer of creepy to it. My niece said it looked like a murder pool. All in all we needed a place to sleep in an emergency and it was cheap and comfortable other than the shower.pressure. My father in law liked the breakfast but he will eat anything. My biggest warning is if you neeed to have your pet with you and are worried about leaving them alone in the room, find somewhere else for...
