Response to the Owner: I expected this reply from you as I have seen this is your answer to other complaints of the same kind. So, lets get to the truth of things. In traveling to Florida to get family who were completely devastated by Hurricane Ian we found your place and our first nights stay was great and we expressed that. Traveling back out of Florida we decided to return as we were quite happy with our original stay. Unfortunately our second stay was the exact opposite. You call it an inconvenience, I call it poor business. You quoted $85 a night which was $10 cheaper than our first stay which was great to hear, however upon arrival one of the 2 rooms was not cleaned and in fact had dirty linen on the bed, hair in the sink, and sticky stuff spilled all over the floor. When I came to discuss this with you another customer was there and you quoted him $75.00 a night which I questioned you about. After you came to the room you said there was nothing you could do as you had no one available to clean it but you would reduce both rooms to $65.00 a night. ( Funny since my charge was extra $50.00 for maintenance but get a $16.00 reduction for dirty room hmmmm.) You did not do what you said you would do, but instead refunded the difference of only one. You make it sound like the people that stay there are awful people, your words - " shut down the room" give me a break! If there was an additional charge for extra maintenance you should have called or e-mailed since you DID in fact have both on file as I have e-mails ( receipt from our first stay) and phone records as proof and we would have addressed it. So in fact you do charge without notice. Going into someone's account a day after they have checked out and adding additional charges with no explanation or bill or phone call is theft and unprofessional on all levels. This isn't about your measly $50.00 from me , this is $50.00 from everyone you do this to without permission. I could go into more detail but I think I have made my point. - First review: I will give them being friendly, but beware if they feel the need to charge you extra for something, they will just go back to your credit card and charge it without a single phone call or e-mail. Highly unprofessional. Do not advise...
Read moreThis place is unreal of the rudeness we get our room at 11 o’clock at night and it’s 98° in the room so we have to turn the AC on and go sit out in our vehicles for the next 2 1/2 hours for our rooms to cool down The next day we venture out go in different places and we come back about seven or 8 o’clock at night and come to find out our AC is off and we left it on about 70 when we went to leave that morning so we proceeded to go to the office and complain about our rooms being ridiculously hot, and that whoever cleaned the room or went in our room Turned the AC off and left it off and then the manager proceeded to tell us it was their policy that if they walk by our room and hear the AC on and no one‘s in the room it’s OK for them to turn it off in our room hey that’s a violation because we rent the room for the night so we’re responsible for the room be no one had permission to come in our rooms not even a clean because we are little signs on the thing so there’s that and for a hotel, or motel to have a policy That it’s OK for them to go into your rooms and turn the AC off when it’s supposed to be 95 1/2° during the day or just in general is completely on excepted and then she proceeded to say oh it’s their policy we signed for it and we signed the room. It’s not policy. It’s nowhere to be found anywhere where we booked it or when we checked out so this is completely unacceptable and it makes me wonder how much more stuff they went through going through our stuff while they were in the room, whoever it was that was in our room. And then she proceeded to tell me their life issues because the reason why they turn off the AC is because they’re going into bankruptcy and they’re having financial troubles so they don’t want no one to leave the AC on why they’re not there in the room For one pay lotta money for the room it’s not my fault that they’re in financial ruins for two a lot of money so I have the right to have that AC on if I want it on or if I want it off three even though it’s their establishment there still a right to privacy to a certain point Did not give anyone anybody permission to come in there. No one should’ve been in there messing...
Read moreAbsolutely the WORST hotel we have ever stayed at. First, while in the lobby, I was informed check was at 4pm (we arrived at 2pm for hurricane idalia) . The male clerk didn't want to let us check in but the female allowed it. Then we were told a $50 fully refundable charge would be took. We get to the room (non smoking) and the ac didn't work. The indoor temperature never got under 77 degrees. It was awful for August in fl. Then, each time we opened our door the female owner would magically appear telling us to close it. Didn't want us smoking outside the room so we sat in our van with ac on. She still lied and said we smoked in the room and kept the $50 deposit. The hotel surveillance will prove there was absolutely no smoking in the room at anytime. We checked in at 2pm and left at 1am. The owner was extremely rude, and the way she kept popping up we felt like we were being watched or stalked. By 11pm the hotel was full and all guest were outside their rooms smoking but the only people she harrassed about smoking and doors was us. We will never stay there again. I filed a dispute about he extra $50 charge although it probably won't do any good with the way they lie there. They don't even deserve the 1 star. I can't get over how hateful and rude the female owner was, just awful people and...
