Century Gardens — Hotel in Kannapolis

I attended a wedding at this venue. The staff was extremely unprofessional. I traveled from out of state to attend this wedding. I knew I didn’t want to drink and drive, so I came in an Uber. As soon as we got out of the Uber and tried to cross the road to enter, they told us we were not allowed on the property because it was overcapacity. They also informed us the cops were coming to shut the wedding down and that the groom and bride did not pay their balance in full. They also let us know that there weren’t enough porta potties and that was part of the reason we were not allowed in. As we were going back and forth across the street there are other people leaving the wedding just based on how unprofessional these people were. We were finally given access after 15 minutes of waiting. I’m not sure who the catering service was, but they were rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. As a guest, how the contract is handled between the client and business is none of my business. I came to celebrate a union of two people. I hosted a birthday party here….AND IT WAS THE BEST DECISION!!! This venue had everything I was looking for. The combination of nature, covered shelter area, “step-up” dance floor/stage, bar area, the open beautifully arranged landscape, and the carefully thought out placement of each piece of furniture on this property made my job so much more easy because most of the decor was already done! It also gave us so many options for pictures!!!

Oh and the parking lot they have attached to the venue made it so easy for guests to just park and walk a few short steps to the venue. It couldn’t have been any easier!!

I was truly lucky to have found such a great place! I will be booking again soon because not only is this such a great venue, the owners, are hands down some of the nicest people. On 10.26, I married the love of my life and had my dream wedding/reception at Century Gardens! Who would have thought that an amazing venue like this is conveniently located in Kannapolis, within 10 minutes of hotels, restaurants, and shopping. The owner of the venue, Mrs. Judy, was extremely easy to communicate with and absolutely professional! If you’re not from the area, she has all of the recommendations from catering to planners to wedding officiants! Just ask!
