I liked the hotel enough to stay here for a few days in a row and decided to rebook because they didn't seem to mind our kids being there. The hotel staff comes to knock on your door at 11 o'clock sharp every single day and they barely speak English so it's harder to tell them if you're going to need anything. However they were pretty polite and always gave me extra towels whenever I needed them. For some unknown reason they allow people to smoke weed inside the building and they prop the door open to the side entrance at all times. This means that the hotel is constantly freezing and reeks of cigarette smoke when you walk into the hallway, lobby or breakfast area even though it is a strictly nonsmoking hotel.
I tried to work out in the breakfast area one time because my kids were distracting but it was so cold and smelled so bad I couldn't stand it for more than a couple of minutes and had to go back to my warm room.
There is never enough juice in the juice machine to get juice during breakfast and the breakfast itself could be improved a lot. I tried to get tea instead of the gross coffee that they serve but when they ran out of sugar and creamer they claimed there wasn't any more (I guess they expect everyone to just use sweet and low but no creamer).
The staff asks you to bring used towels to the front one day and the next day tells you not to, but will always give more when you need them.
We booked a mobility accessible room to see what it was like and make sure to get a first floor because every place I go has a window that won't lock when we get a higher floor and the baby always tries to open them and fall out. It reminded me of a hospital room but it was comfortable. However there were no places I could hang up anything at all and he could reach everything so he could pour everything out. Wouldn't recommend staying in a mobility accessible room at all, there's nowhere to hang clothes or put anything and the limited dresser space they have is a built in under the bench seat but the drawers are jammed closed / halfway broken.
The parking lot had a lot of trash. The neighborhood is not the greatest but it's only a few miles from nicer areas. The room was comfortable and just ok, not terribly beautiful but definitely clean...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTop 10 in my list of Worst Nights Ever. First, getting in the door to our room was a challenge. It was slightly off at the top making it stick. When we finally managed to open the door with brute force, it made such a noise, I was afraid someone would mistake it for a gunshot and call the police. Looking around a bit, we discovered the closet door was missing some hardware, and so hung cockeyed. It had to be lifted up to be opened. Also, someone had left a personal item in one of the drawers. Housekeeping?? We thought if those were the worst things, then our stay would be fine. We turned on the TV as it was still fairly early. All the free HBO channels they proudly advertise? "Weak signal" on every single one. I decide to read my book, then, while hubby channel surfed. This is when I noticed the big issue. The beds are so soft (like marshmallows!) and the pillows as well (like clouds!) that the bed developed a rut down the center that I rolled into and struggled to get out of. I then tried to position myself in the edge of the bed but every time I turned over, I fell back into the chasm. Also, the cloud-like pillows offered no support so I might as well not have had any. I got maybe 2 hours of sleep. Don't speak to me if you see me today. I'm cranky.
Other issues:
We stayed here because our AC at home went out on the hottest day of the year and this was the closest place with availability. I wish I would have stayed in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was overcharged for my stay, by 3 times! When I called in to have the issue corrected I was informed that there was a system issue resulting in one extra charge, however in the system it showed I checked out at a later date, resulting in the additional charges. When I advised staff I did not stay longer than my original booking, they argued they had proof of me extending my stay. I was told there was footage of me checking out of the hotel on January 3rd, 2022, when I in fact did not. I checked out on January 2nd, 2022. I was shocked to have learned this information so I made plans to return to the hotel immediately, considering the facts. Once I arrived to the hotel staff on duty, whom I spoke with over the phone, whom claimed to have viewed footage of me checking out on January 3rd, did not even recognize me! Very obvious they had been looking at someone else on camera checking out, and I believe it was a STAFF ERROR that resulted in that persons stay being charged to my card. I also was able to see documents from where the stay was extended and it had all my card information with another persons signature!! That is card fraud!! I pointed out the signature to the manager but he still argued it was me who stayed the extra night. The manager was also VERY RUDE. At one point he told me "you don't need the money right now, why are you even here?" clearly he did not care at the fact that staff had been so negligent as to make sure they are charging guest appropriately. Never once received an apology for the issue or inconvenience. Also during my stay, room service walked in on me, way before check out time. I could hear the people next door getting it on! The room was very dirty. Very dissatisfied with my stay, staff and the entire...
