Played in Early July with a GroupGolfer deal for only $40. For what we paid, this was an exceptional deal. Pace of play was not an issue, but we were the first tee time out (7:30am). The course is VERY well kept, and that in and of itself makes it worth it. The greens weren't super fast, but weren't slow, and all the bunkers (except one hole - probably cause we played early and they hand't got there yer) were well groomed, and the fairways were cut properly.

The layout is pretty unique, as there are lots of holes where you can't, or shouldn't hit Driver. In some ways that gets a bit too repetitive on the back 9, as there's lots of holes where you have to hit a 220-230 yard shot (from Blue tees) to a landing area before a dogleg or hazard. That being said, there is some incredible elevation changes, and opportunities for some cool views. I wouldn't say there is a "signature" hole, rather, just a lot of unique holes. The routing is pretty crazy too, as you have long cart rides to get to the 1st and 10th tees, and then have to go over a bridge on the highway to play the last 3 holes!

Many people have said this - it's a challenging course too. Be prepared to lose some balls, unless you can really keep it in play. There is a 3 hole stretch on the front that is open, but other than that, basically the entire course is tree lined.

All in all a very enjoyable round, and even with all the great courses around Bellaire, I would argue this one is as well...

this looks like a nice course. but might need new management. have tried all day to contact them. their phone number has a lengthy recording, all about the restaurant hours. no option to connect with the pro shop for tee times. no way to leave a vmail. they haven't answered my email. there is a 'contact us' on the website, which I filled out and checked for accuracy. after 'submit', it said the message was not sent, 'see errors below' no errors were shown. I didn't make an errors - except trying to contact them.how the hell does one make a tee time in person if they have a situation that their tee time 'technology' is not handling? THEY ANSWERED. APPARENTLY 2 LARGE GROUPS WERE CHECKING IN. I RETRACT MY 'MIGHT NEED NEW MANAGEMENT COMMENT. HERE IS THE REPORT AFTER PLAYING IT.... the kid in the pro shop was very nice, drinks to go were reasonable. the course definitely has character. not many 'same old' holes. one hole requires a 208 yard drive from the back tees to not lose your ball - god help you in a strong wind. my friend, a shorter hitter, made it about 60% of the way. he teed it up again, with a look like a 12 year old kid having fun, saying 'I want to try it again!' = 75% of the way to the fairway. on #18 tee he said 'this is treturous!' (sp?) I didn't lose my ball - he did. bring plenty of balls, this is not for the faint hearted. but the scenery and the character lead to a lot of fun. a relief from boring courses. I will play it...

Booked and pre paid for a 4:30 tee time a day in advance. The next day it showed heavy rain starting a 4:30. Called up there to see if we could move our tee time back a few hours to miss the rain and she said it would be an extra $40 per person to move it but they had open availability so anywhere from noon to 430 would work. We declined a showed up 20 min before our tee time to find that it was raining so we decided to go inside for a drink and wait for the rain to clear since we could see clear sky’s ahead. The lady at the pro shop was adamant that we tee off right at 430 even though there was no one on the course and we were the last one of the day (their golf course doesn’t close until 8:30). We told the lady that we will tee off after the rain clears and she stomps off. We spend a total of 10 minutes finishing our drinks and the lady comes back into the bar and says we can only play until 630 and we have to tee off right now. We get to-go cups for the rest of our drinks and get in our carts just as the rain is clearing. Only made it to hole 6 before having to come back in. Terrible use of $220 but the course was beautiful. I wish we got to play the...

Played 18 holes with a coupon I received from groupgolfer. The chief was great about honoring the codes. This course was one of the prettiest courses I have been too, but also the most challenging. The course was spaced out beautifully with signage. Only downfall was it felt we were jam packed with 5 groups going at once, with a bit of waiting and at the same time feeling rushed by the group behind us. The cart girl Sandy was very friendly (we golfed on a Friday, so nice that they had someone out) and a few golfers we interacted with were friendly. We finished with eating at The Nest. Food was good, however we were disappointed with the wait staff switching and our new bartender getting our bartenders tip. She only gave us a box and the bill. Sitting at the bar was quite hot, but we managed. Overall, I’d come back to this course again and look forward to the challenge! My best recommendation is come with EXTRA balls!!

This is a goofy, but amazingly fun course. For some reason none of the GPS devices in our group worked but we managed. It's another long one, with several 150+ carries to the fairway and 400+ par 4s. I strongly recommend driving ahead to look at the hols if it's your first time, especially number one and two. Well maintained and in great condition the day were were there in July 2020. It's VERY long green to tee with the trails crossing over each other several times. They are using gas carts and no food or drinks were available (COVID). Great experience for $65 with a $22 replay.
