Tried once and will not be going back. We planned a trip here for a four night stay and ended up leaving early. I remember coming here as a kid and it still looks exactly the same 25 years later. I don't think they have updated anything in the 25 years. They still have a metal playground in which we barely saw any kids playing on. I don't believe they have a maintenance team here at all. Our kids were not too interested in the playground at all. They wanted to go swimming and we had to tell them no after two days of going swimming. The pool kept getting dirtier by the day, I know it's a public pool, but we have been to other campgrounds with pools and don't remember seeing it nearly as dirty as this one. A public pool requires a high performance filter and excessive amounts of chlorine and I don't believe they wanted to spend the money on this. We were also not a fan of the un-organization of parking wherever you want, which forces you to search for open water spouts and electrical hook ups. We prefer the parks to where these are reserved per site. Some guy driving on a golf cart asked me why my water hose was leaking right after I temporarily used it to fill my tank and turned it off. Come to find out, he un-screwed my water hose with filter and left it on the ground. I confronted him about the issue and he stated that he worked there. Apparently they have water police, but no maintenance team. The staff should be required to wear a staffing shirt (He was shirtless). I informed him that I knew it was leaking and only temporarily used it to fill my water tank and then turned it off, no reason to go around unhooking people's water if it's barely leaking. They charge more for the holiday weekend, but then you have to pay to do extra activities? Why wouldn't this be included in the up-charge? Doesn't make sense to me. I also don't understand the $3 charge to rent a fire ring either. State and county parks are 10 times nicer for half the cost. Like I said, we will not...

Read moreGordon's looked like a very nice campground when we booked our annual family camping trip; however, it turned out to be worst Campground we've ever been to. Friday night we were kept awake by the 20 kids partying at the cabins until 6am. After about 2am we felt it was late enough and tried contacting park authorities to ask them to quiet down and no one did anything. They did not respond to any of the many complaints and many campers around us were furious. Part of our group rented a cabin for the night so they didn't have to setup their tents in the dark and the cabins beds were soaking wet and they couldn't even sleep in it.
Lastly to top it all off my mother went to the restroom at about 5:30am Sunday morning (the second night) and when walking past the campsite asked the campers if they could keep it down as they were still up partying again... The kid was nice and said they were sorry and they would calm down. When my mother was walking back from the bathroom this guy got up and started being confrontational with her. She tried to just keep walking and he followed her And started verbally harassing her and then ended with him punching her in the face and busting her lip open. He took off running when my dad and I woke up. Thankfully the cops were able to find this worthless piece of crap and arrested him for assault and an MIP.
Overall terrible experience and will never be back. The staff was somewhat nice after that fact but did nothing to control these people when it was needed. This could have easily been avoided if they had people controlling the park.
After all this the owner wouldn't even talk to us and sent her workers to. We received no refunds, apologies, etc. One of the works also said "when they run they usually go for the corn field" which tells me they have these types of problems frequently.
Unless you want to have a terrible camping trip I highly suggest you stay far away from this poorly...
