Wow, Ricardo Rodriguez is not fit to be the manager at this hotel. He really got his pants in a wad cause I wanted to replace alcohol with two bottle waters. First of all it’s a pretty stupid policy. The hotel will give you all the alcohol you want to drink from a tap from 6-8pm but will charge you 2 bucks for bottle water. I don’t drink Mr. Rodriguez!!! And a lot of other folks don’t drink either. Don’t non-alcohol drinking shame us. And I don’t drink kiwi water either, like you offered from your machine. A machine that’s been broken for the past week. I just want plain water. His employee, Delores, saw how stupid his policy was and told me that I could take the bottle water instead. But big boss manager said she was mistaken. He told me that I could take the water today but moving forward I couldn’t do it for the rest of my stay. You really are making a lot of money off those two dollar water bottles huh Mr. Rodriguez? He was so proud to give me his card when I asked him what his name was too. Big boss tough guy putting dollars and cents over his customer. Over water!!! Big mistake to stay at this hotel for three weeks. Should have stayed at the La Quinta where they give you all the bottle water and soda you want. And they give you food M-F, not just M-Th at bottom dollar Hampton. Loved the hotel, but way over priced!!!! They asked for 165 per night. I said no, a coworker managed to get then to agree to 115 per night, but only if I would stay 5 nights; otherwise it would be 129. This took considerable time back and forth with some Manager on the phone. I was beginning to feel bad for the girl at the desk. So, I agreed, I stayed 5 nights even though I only needed 4. Basically, instead of driving out Friday night, decided to hit the road Saturday morning! They did not take good notes! Had no record of the 115 agreement, charged me 129. I lost the extra night plus hotel tax, and a stinking extra night = 225 extra $. Too bad for them. I come every week. I will not come back. I drive right past them 5 days a week. I don't speak badly to anyone, but if I get asked I will tell the truth. Shameful used car salesmen tactics! This is a nice hotel. Rate should be about 90 per night! I guess big oil screwed this up. Not sure, but we will be coming and going for years and we are not big oil. Good luck with that!!! Hope Karma doesn't come around for them. Do yourself a favor and read all the reviews! I stopped here on a work trip. I booked and checked into a room on the app prior to arriving. When I got there, they told me the room I checked into wasn’t available due to bathroom repairs. I waited for the nice, younger guy working to try and find me a room. He called the manager, Richard, multiple times with no answer. Evidently, he went to McDonalds. After 15 minutes or so, Richard walked in and asked the worker what he needed. He explained that he didn’t know what room to put me in. The manager checked me into a room and away I went to the second floor. I used the key, the door opened just a little and there stood a man. I was so embarrassed. I went back downstairs and told them I was not sharing a room with a stranger. After waiting another 10 minutes, the manager handed me a key to another room. I asked him if he made sure it was not already occupied and he assured me it wasn’t. He also told me that I would be receiving an additional 10,000 points for all my troubles. That hasn’t happened.
