Planned a 1-nite stay, hung out for 3. Beautiful setting. Friendly owners who personally take great care of the property & run a neat on site gift shop. Ample free parking & a spot for our truck/trailer/ATV.||Stayed in the upper suite of the newer building. SUPER CLEAN! Upper level has shared deck with chairs/table outside our room. Smoking outpost provided. Great view of peaceful lawn setting, pond & the city lights at night. ||One large room. Cool mini kitchen wall area with tiled floor, mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot, coffee & condiments, counter, sink & cabinets. Dishrag also provided! 2 clean, comfy Queen beds, super comfy sheets, microfleece blanket (Xtra in drawer), comfy pillows (Xtra in drawer). Vented bathroom was modern & CLEAN, soft water, ok shower pressure. Not a lot of towels, just ask for more. One flat-screen TV centered in front of beds; TV channels OK. Alarm clock, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, ice bucket provided. Nice quality sofa bed next to beds, & across the room is table & 2 chairs. No coffee table or tv in front of couch.. but it's all one room. A/C is great & the WINDOWS OPEN!!||NO problems with noise or crappy neighbors. We had privacy, peace and space. You can get what you need from housekeeping, or from the owners at the gift shop or office.||CONS: No blackout curtains or breakfast. Not that many electrical outlets. No note pads or pens. This was our second stay here, the first was by necessity, the second by choice. The room/bathrooms are clean, spacious, comfortable and definitely money well spent. The décor is charming not cheesy. Their housekeeping staff clearly take pride in their work and workplace. We stayed in the 2 story building both times and really enjoyed the view and small patio set to sit and relax on. The grounds are well kept and add to the pleasant view. The kitchenette is a great amenity! Although the motel is right off the road, road noise is minimal inside the room. Noise from the room above us, as well as the wooden stairs and walkway can be heard. The staff we encountered were friendly and accommodating, and the gift shop is cute with plentiful merchandise. The windows open to allow cool fresh air to flow through the room. A breakfast option at the hotel would be great, but definitely not a deal breaker for me!
