SpringHill Suites by Marriott Orlando Lake Nona — Hotel in Kissimmee

100% satisfied with our stay here!! Booking was easy and straightforward, our room was ready for us even when we arrived a little earlier. Prices were amazing! The cleanliness of the hotel was outstanding! I have never been to a hotel this clean and new looking/smelling. Front desk was so kind and helpful, very pleasant people, at every shift, which is rare. Complimentary breakfast was delicious, hot, and fresh, vegetarian and dairy free options available as well, which i appreciated! Pool was very clean and relaxing, with an outdoor lounge area next to it, very kid friendly. Flooring in the rooms was freshly renovated vinyl, not carpet, which was huge for me! Surrounding area is very clean, new, and safe as well. Next to the highway, but that didn’t bother us one bit. Publix (delicious subs and salads!!) , Italian Restaurant, Salon, Wawa, 7 eleven surrounds the hotel which was nice, because we could get a meal, groceries, and necessities if we needed to. Across the street, 5-10 minute drive away is a beautiful newer city like area, (right next to the Wave hotel) with lots to do! You can walk around and enjoy the boxi park, food, concerts, fun (check hours) or restaurants (turkish, pizza, modern) overall experience is fun, relaxing, romantic, clean, new, family friendly, we went there several times. We had to drive an hour to the nearest beach (hightower, also highly recommend) but that was not a problem at all. When our flight got cancelled, we called the hotel, and got their last room for the night, (still at such an incredible price!!!) and it was just as clean and fresh as our first room! The staff was so kind and let us stay and use the lobby and pool area even after our check out, since we had to wait another 6 hours for our flight. Highly, highly recommend staying here! We will always be staying here when in the orlando area, and will recommend this hotel to all of our friends...

The room was clean, but didn't have a complete set if toiletries for us. Simple things. The garage can didn't have bags the whole stay and they were small. We had to call room service for trash. There were no trash cans no where in the hotel except for the front/breakfast area and they were small. People were leaving trash on the floor outside of their rooms. It looked bad. Additionally, one (that we know of) there was several people outside in the lounge area and breakfast area late night (probably after 10p) making a lot of noise so much so that I wasn't sure if a party was going on. Another family commented as well in the elevator. We were stunned to see that and that the front desk employees (2) were not saying a word to those people. There were also people hanging out by the door inside and outside (by the drive up.) I would suggested taking care of those things especially for guests having an extended stay. Lastly, I was told that breakfast would be full service. The entire stay the orange juice machine didn't work and the breakfast employees did not greet us. I was told upon check in that waffles would be available on the weekends only to come down bright and early to realize that that was not true. I asked the breakfast associate and she said that parts were missing and that there would be no waffles for a long while. Very disappointing to my family and I. Overall, everything else was good and the surrounding area seemed pretty cool as well. We would stay again if these items...

I was concerned about booking because a few comments suggested the placed needed to be updated and was not very clean. Pleasantly surprised by our one night stay. It was just a brief one night stay while we waited for the rest of our family to arrive for a week at the theme parks. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Breakfast was what you would expect at any hotel but above and beyond with the Micky shaped waffles that the kids were loving. We asked for a late check out and were accommodated. So many pools and places to relax and enjoy a coffee or other refreshment while sitting in the sun or shade. Slides and splash pads were a nice touch for kids. Landscaping was beautiful and well maintained. We played a couple of rounds of putt putt after dinner and it was very fun and relaxing. It is close to food and groceries. There were only the 2 of us, as I said, waiting on the rest of our party to arrive but the room with a double had a large sleeper sofa and could have comfortably slept 6, maybe not for a week, with just one bathroom and a small kitchenette but certainly for a night or two. Great hotel! Highly recommend for anyone traveling to this area. Only negative comment that I read that still held true was that only one elevator was working. They really need to remedy this. We rode it up with our luggage initially but never got on it again. However, we were only on the 2nd floor. Wouldn't want to have to do the stairs over and over if I were much higher, or...
