Not what it used to be.
First off, my engagement ring and wedding ring disappeared from my hotel room so PLEASE do not get wrapped up in being on holiday and leave them anywhere outside of the safe. I did so stupidly because we were going to the beach and thought they'd be safe. Left them on the kitchen counter, never to be seen again. I'm not a newlywed and have held onto those rings for a long time, but I guess I was stupid. Of course, the hotel could not accept blame. They said they would investigate but nothing has come of it. This happened about 2-3 weeks ago. We filed a police report and hopefully, some idiot will try to pawn them and land on the surprise they have the serial number engraved on the diamond. Here's hoping.
All that emotional aspect aside, my family and I have been coming here once or twice a year for the past 10 years, but skipped the 2017 holiday season. I was shocked when I saw the condition of the rooms. We were placed in a room on the fourth floor in building 3. When we entered, the hotel room appeared to be clean, however, the beds had been laid on top of and the pillows were all out of place - like someone had been in there since it had been cleaned but there seemed to be no belongings. Weird. We called front desk and had to change rooms.
They changed our rooms to the third floor in building 3. The other room seemed ok, at least it was arranged. That night, the temperature dipped into the 40s so we went to put the heat on.. it didn't work. The kids were freezing all night. The next morning we called maintenance but they couldn't fix it until we checked out. You may say that heat isn't used often so how would they have known, but a couple of days later when it was in the 80s, the AC couldn't be changed either. The appliances all worked and the kitchen was clean and stocked enough to get by. No complaints with that.
There is no longer breakfast offered though they do still charge a hefty resort fee. This made me raise an eyebrow, but the kicker was when we asked for salt and pepper and they made us buy it from their pantry. C'mon, don't be petty. Salt and pepper.
All this is not awesome but not a deal-breaker (save the rings) BUT it is FILTHY. The carpets and floor haven't been cleaned well in a while. The kids were walking around without socks and their feet were completely black. The carpets in the bedrooms were heavily soiled and the bathrooms seemed clean until you stepped into the show and saw the mildew and use the toilet and see the black rim under the seat. How can they not use bleach in Florida?? Thankfully, I did not see cockroaches as stated in the other reviews. The beds had springs you could feel when laying down and something was wrong with the bases of the twin beds that made the mattresses slide. Horrible for kids. The windows in the master bedroom were damaged. They have done a poor poor job of maintaining the property and making updates. It's exactly how it's been for the past 10 years. Even the elevators are scary doing that dipping thing before departing and reaching a floor. They charge you $6 for towels refresh.
Now, let's say they get their act together and clean this place up and make updates, this place could be great! There's plenty of parking, the pool looks new and they offer towels for the pool. The jacuzzi is also great. The layout of the apartments is ideal with a master bedroom on one side and two bedrooms on the other side. Each room has a TV as well as one in the living room with a DVD player. The balcony is screened in. The location is also great, close to the Disney parks and shopping.
All in all, I won't be back and discourage others from choosing this hotel. When I reported the missing rings to management, there was no sympathy. I guess a lot of people try to scam them or something, but it wasn't even worth it since they were so apathetic. Such a shame!!! There are tons of places to choose from in Orlando, don't subject your family to staying here. AND please remember to use your safe for valuables, or better yet, don't even travel...
Read moreSo my review is a week late, but I had to leave my comments. When I looked online for pricing it quoted $983 for a 3 bed and 2 bath suite. I thought that was awesome and a little too good to be true. So I made my reservations and when I made it to the payment page was taken aback by the grand total of over $1600. Originally the website showed that they shuttle to both Disney and universal but after I printed my confirmation page for reservations, it showed that they only shuttle to Epcot. I called Worldquest and spoke to two different people and was told yes they do shuttle to both, but the 2nd person said no only Epcot. They only run the shuttle to Epcot twice in the morning...at 7:55am and 11:55am..... The rooms are listed on the website as a fully stocked kitchen which is not the case. There is not even a can opener. Silverware and dishes are limited and the cookware is not much to choose from. To make it better, we had to wash the dishes before even using them because they had fingerprints or smudges on the glasses and dried food on the casserole dish and some bowls and plates. For a 4 star rated hotel I was expecting plush or at least comfortable furniture in the living area, as well as the beds.....the couch was dirty, looked like someone rubbed snot on the cushion (I have kids so as a parent you know what that looks like unfortunately) and there were crumbs on the inside of the fold out mattress. As for the beds, the king, queen and two twin mattresses were unbearable! They were rock hard! First night of sleep I woke up the next day in pain. My oldest son by the end of the vacation was complaining of his back hurting. It's pretty bad that the beds were so uncomfortable that i had to go to Walmart to purchase memory foam, and even that didn't help much. Oh and there was a spare blanket and set of sheets in the master closet. I was cold and grabbed the blanket to cover up with on the couch and found a cigarette burn. I thought this was a non-smoking hotel? To make things "better" we were staying on the 4th floor. The people above us were SO LOUD. They were moving the chairs around and could hear kids crying and running all throughout their suite. It was awful! What kind of water pressure would you expect from a 4 star hotel? Well, I you want a nice relaxing shower, forget about it! Thanks water pressure is non-existent in this place. Or at least in the room I stayed in. If you want fresh towels you have to pay $6 a day. If you want housekeeping you pay $39.95 a day...I opted to clean my own room as best as I could until the end of my stay. Since the suite is equipped with a washer and dryer (that was a good perk) I washed the towels we originally were given. Oh, and bring your own laundry detergent. It's completely expensive to purchase in the market they have. I can't say anything about the pool as we didn't have the time with our schedule to use the pool. The fitness room they have is small. They had two treadmills, one elliptical, free weights and two other pieces of equipment. It wasn't much to choose from so I didn't bother with trying to get a workout in on my schedule. With all of this said, I didn't complain to anyone at the front desk, and I didn't request to speak to management, because quite honestly I didn't really think anything would be done about my family's complaints. Don't get me wrong, when you walk into the suite it looks phenomenal. But the more you look around and longer you stay you notice a lot that could be improved. All in all, I feel like I paid too much for something that is not in my opinion a...
Read moreAs a unit owner who rents my unit out myself I am fed up with people like Desiree Steadman who work for the management company Kingwood. Just yesterday I asked Desiree Steadman to ask her cleaning staff to stop dumping disgusting water that stinks like bleach and is filthy from the 5th floor balcony which pours directly onto my 4th floor balcony. Today I was informed it happened again, this time I know its out of spite. I own several properties here in Orlando and live close to the WorldQuest resort so I am able to be on the premises anytime. Further more they have done nothing about the racoon issues that are plaguing this otherwise wonderful resort. The raccoons are a nuisance, getting into the trash bins and leaving a huge mess everywhere. Not to mention frightening children and guests who can actually see the infestation. Building #3 has fire alarm issues 24/7, it keeps going off intermittently at any time of the day or night. Desiree Steadman and the company she works for Kingwood are the biggest crooks you'll ever come across. The reason I decided not to allow Kingwood to rent my unit on my behalf is because they are thieves. They charge insane fees to WorldQuest guests and make up phony invoices to charge the unit owners, claiming they had to make repairs to your unit without even getting approval first. This is by far the most unprofessionally run resort I've come across. My guests are extremly unhappy that they cant even sit on the patio without disgusting water being thrown on top of their heads literally a few feet from where they were sitting and attempting to enjoy a nice day. As I stated this is 100% spite since this happened yesterday when I reported it directly to Deisree Steadman 8/15/2025 and it occured again today less than 24 hours on 8/16/2025. The cleanliness of this resort is deplorable, they come around and hose down all the floors of each building, no wet floor signs, and they dont actually get it clean. It's unsafe, still dirty and wet when they are done hosing down the floors, an accident and liability waiting to happen. You can see feces (Im assuming its from a dog or maybe the racoons) all over the stairs and main floor where guests access their units coming and going, disgusting! Sometimes it stays for days. Get your act together Desiree Steadman and Kingwood, this is not how to run a business. You could do so much better but Im guessing that ship sailed long ago.
Additional Info: occurence happened 9/19/25 - 9/22/25 - One of the employees for Kingwood has been slamming the door of unit 505 (same unit mentioned previously for dumping water onto my balcony) 15 - 20 times per day creating Earth shattering noise to my guests in my unit below, they are rearranging furniture at all hours of the day and night, and what my guests describe as deliberate slamming of objects or feet on the floor, which of course is a noise nuisance. I tried to call and speak with Desiree Steadmann but was told she is "not available". FYI - My guests were so fed up with the noise they went upstairs to find hotel employees loitering around that unit with the door wide open. As a courtesy I compensated them out of my pocket.
What a shame, this is beyond...
