this was one of the most terrible hotel experiences ever I had. During the check-in we were notified there is no power in the unit that will we stay, when I asked why we haven't been notified answer was that's our job? also our job was to check to conditions cuz there are mountains. Half of the property had power and I believe that's the part of where the homeowners live, that's so obvious it's not storms or mountains' fault but the hotel's. I also drive around and all the houses around have power but not us. It is not over, I called Socal Edison to ask about the status of an outage, and guess what I am the only one who is reporting power outages from these properties, and they said if someone from the property contact them they can send someone to repair. We stayed all night long in dark no power and with no central heat when the outside temp was 30 degrees, there was only a tiny gas fireplace not even enough to heat the unit. We had to sleep 4 people, 2 adults and little kids on the sofa bed cuz the other room was freezing cold. Plus no hot water, cant use any of the kitchen amenities, and still paid 220$ for the night. Lady at registration said why we did even come? excuse me? why do you even sell or advertise your hotel with no power and blame me for coming? if I had any chance and road conditions were safe I gladly go back home which is 90 miles away. Stay away from this place, there is no communication I called all evening and night long no one answered the calls. I called Alderwood property management, they took my info and said they will let general management know and they will contact me but no one called. I called the local sheriff's office to let them know about our situation because I was so worried about my family's, especially my kid's safety. This establishment was way far from being professional, I was expected to be forwarded some other hotel or move to a room with power or some extra heating & lighting solution none of this provided not even extra blankets...

Location: It’s quite close to the arrowhead lake village, you can take a walk and had food there and then come to check in. Also there’s a grocery store like 5 mins drive away ( there’s an EV charger and ATM too )! But notice that you’ll need to enter the code to open the gate to drive in !
Room: It’s clean and you got almost everything you need ! The bed and blanket are soft and cozy, the kitchen is equipped with all the utensils, kitchenware like pots, fry pans, etc. Also there’s free coffee and tea !The small living room area is nice too, there’s a cute fireplace to warm you up, nice sofa and TV with Netflix. As for the bathroom, it’s clean too, they provided many towels, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryer. Well somehow we can’t get hot water in the bathtub (for the sink it works fine) but it’s not a big problem for us this time.
Service: We’re international travelers so we didn’t have US phone number before we arrived in US, not sure if it’s because of this so we didn’t get the instructions to check in in advance. We arrived at the gate and don’t know how to open. We call the staff and she’s nice and send us the instructions right away :) ! The check in process is contactless, so remember to have the instructions ready before you enter !
Oh and I personally love the balcony a lot, there’s view in the morning from the balcony is so beautiful, the sun and the forest,...
Read moreThe resort location at Lake Arrowhead was excellent--about a 10 min drive from the lake itself and all the stores and restaurants. It was quiet and secluded, with attractive and heavily wooded grounds. Our unit was spacious, well appointed and was clean overall. However, there was much that could have been better. The "contactless" check-in process was confusing and some greater clarity about that would have been helpful (another couple arriving shortly after us had the same experience). We saw virtually no staff onsite during the entire week's stay. A/C would also have been nice (it was very warm during our stay and we were not advised about the lack of A/C until only a day or two before arrival), and two of the three sets of louvered blinds in the bedroom windows were not in proper working order (they were aged and really needed to be replaced). The resort's clubhouse, which included other amenities, such as pool, gym, tennis courts, etc, were all unavailable with no explanation other than, "due to unforeseen circumstances." The outsides of the units were in need of repair to varying degrees; peeling paint, rotting wood trim, broken plaster and cement--especially on the back patio/deck. And there was some sort of varnish/coating on the dining and living room coffee tables that caused virtually everything to stick to the tables, and no amount of soap and water would change that. It created a very "unclean" feeling on...
