Took some friends from out of town here over the weekend and one has some walking issues(uses a walker)and he was able to get to the beach and picnic area without any problems. The use of the free wagons was so helpful as we had a lot of stuff between the seven of us, coolers, chairs, etc. We a had a great time facilities were very clean, showers and bathrooms were great, the outside foot shower is located perfectly when you come off the beach. The place is very well taken care of and very clean. Such beautiful views...beach was very clean and very swimmable(nice sandy bottom). I live nearby and rarely come here but I knew my out of town guests would appreciate such nice accommodating facilities at a beach park. They had everything we needed for a day at the beach and a picnic dinner...even had clean grills and plenty of tables...made for a perfect day.

We enjoyed our stay here but if we go back, will stay in the G or N sections which are much more secluded and quiet than the A section which was more crowded and noisy. The beach is fantastic but the sand is a little sharp so water shoes would be good to bring. The staff is very helpful and responsive, when we did have a noisy neighbor issue it was handled right away. My kids loved the basketball court and playground.

I was delighted by this beautiful campground! The grounds were well maintained, the cabins look beautiful, the views of the river and lake are breathtaking. Access to the beach is free to the public, There were also bathrooms and showers, however we didn’t use them.

There was a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the beach. It was pleasant and we enjoyed trading in the scenery. Heading down to the beach is a small hill. The beach was medium sized. There was a lot of space to spread out so that we didn’t have to sit close to other people. I loved how soft the sand was. We noticed a lot of crushed seashells closer to the water. The water itself was dirty river water. There are some places further up on the river where the water is cleaner. I don’t know if it was because there were many people in the water stirring it up, or if it’s always so murky. The bottom felt sandy, not muddy. However, even though I was only standing in the water watching my kids play, I was covered in debris.

We would recommend it and come back because we had a...

My family rent a 30 people campsite at this park during labor day weekend for a 4 days 3 nights camping. We pay over $400.00 for the stay. The following are what we got. For the rate the park charges, it’s not worth staying there. The roads are dusty. Event when someone walk by or ride bike by, dust flies everywhere. No electricity on site, especially the rate that the park charges, should at least have electricity hook up. You pay for camping and you also have to pay for your shower. And most importantly, it said on the shower, you pay 1 quarter for 3 minutes of shower, but it didn’t work like it said. You pay one quarter to shower for 1 minutes on every shower stall. It’s a complete ripoff. The park is so ready to rip you off that they purposely rip-off half of the shower fee posted.

I would never recommend to anyone including families and friends. And this is going to be my first and last time camping...
