Stopped to look at eagles and turkey vultures in Lake City and my wife saw their sign saying new ownership and menu. If someone is brave enough to buy a restaurant in our world today, I should be brave enoigh to try. We sat on a deck which gave us a nice view of the lake (& the eagles). I had a blue cheese burger with steak fries and she had grilled cheese on texas toast and a salad with strawberry vinaigrette. Both were very good. Just a word about the steak fries. Usually they are thick cut which leads to uneven cooking. Here they were thin which was marvelous. They do have a modest selection of local craft beer, which means you are not stuck with Miller or Bud. I think ee will stop here agsin. Probably intentionally rathet than on a whim

Service great but food was poorly prepared. Crab Bisque had a very off flavor like it was old did not taste fresh. We returned it. Fried chicken in the sandwich was raw with only the batter level cooked. We returned the raw chicken sandwich. I complained that the bisque was horrible but they still billed me. Looking at the overall reviews of this place it looks like it's "feast" or "famine" if you eat here. Only 2nd meal I have every returned in over 50 years of dining out. Will not return.

Friendly staff and good food. Nice outdoor patio and conveniently located in the same building as The Willows condos

Tonight, me and my family went to the Lake House. This was our second time, the first time we were seated and were there for 20 minutes without a server coming to us. ANYWAYS, this time we were seated immediately and greeted shortly after. Our server was AMAZING. We ordered chicken wings and onion things. Our chicken wings were NOT cooked thoroughly and the onion things were basically a basket of burger toppings. They took the wings off our ticket. Our food comes out, my husband's TWENTY FOUR DOLLAR STEAK was damn near paper thin, way too salty and burnt tasting. My BBQ burger was entirely tasteless and soggy and my daughters grilled cheese, the cheese wasn't even melted -__- we literally took a couple bites and asked for our check and asked to speak to manager. Our check was around $60. The manager ARGUED with us about our complaints, said that he saw no pink, that they BAKE the wings and then DEEP FRY them to order (ew) and That they don't use salt in their steak seasoning. When we told our server about the wings, she asked if they were under cooked before my husband could even finish telling her himself so CLEARLY this hasn't been the only time. EXTREMELY unsatisfied and will NOT ever be returning. By far the worst restaurant in Lake City...

We arrived by boat, and quickly realized they need longer docking, as well as a boardwalk to access the steps to go up to the restaurant. As we got onto the deck we headed towards an open table that would accommodate 6 and we're quickly addressed by a waitress telling us we had to check in at the hostess station. Got that taken care of and went back out to the same table we had originally planned to sit at.

We ordered drinks and appetizers immediately, and as the onion rings and cheese curds we're good the portions we're ridiculously small for the money. The onion "raystack" had pooled grease under them as if they didn't allow them to drain off long enough, and there was maybe 10 curds in the order. When I made a comment about the portion size the waitress stated "oh for sure"

We also ordered sandwiches & burgers, the burgers were very dry, the sandwich was medicore, and the salad was nothing to write home about.

I do hope this restaurant survives, though they need to take notes from the Pickle Factory, or the Harbor Bar on pricing & portion sizes for that to happen.

I will wait a good while to return to...

Our night began with the hostess telling us we couldn’t wait for an outside table because “it’s going to be packed tonight so we have to just seat people as they come so you have to sit inside”—when we said we really would like to sit outside when a table is available, the manager came over and explained that they don’t normally do that but if we got a drink at the bar she’d let us know when a table outside was free. So weird! We did get a drink at the bar and got a table outside not long after. By the way the restaurant never filled up—not even close—and we were there from 6-7:30pm. When we got to our table outside we couldn’t see each other because the umbrella was down and bulky and when I asked the waitress if we could put it up she explained that there were possible storms later on that night so she was keeping the umbrellas down (it never did storm or even get windy). My husband’s dinner was the tuna and it was decent—lacked flavor but cooked well. My fish and chips were a joke—chewy, tough fish sticks and overcooked crispy thin fries—for $18. We spent a decent amount of money for poor service and one...
