My experience might not be the norm, but also could divert someone in a similar situation from diverting a stay in Lake Geneva altogether. I stayed there in a pinch when the elevator broke down in my Lake Geneva apartment complex and my landlord begrudgingly had to relocate me Nov 22-26. Geneva Wells Inn quoted at $499 for the 5 night stay, over $300 less than several other hotels in Lake Geneva. I am an independent wheelchair user, and the ADA room at Geneva Wells was taken, so I had a standard room, which posed it's own challenges. Overall, the owner Dan, was very kind, and polite, and attentive, eager to assist me any way he could, not just as a hotel guest, but also as an individual with a disability. The doorbell on the office door was helpful. Upon leaving for a pre scheduled appointment I realized a high threshold into the room, and had a litttle trouble reaching in to close my door, but as a disability advocate, I quickly figured it out. Inside the room was two large beds about 28" high with 3 comfy pillows each. 3 lamps in addition to the bathroom sink lights, so plenty of lighting. A table with rolling chair, a dresser, with roku tv above. a mini fridge, and microwave. The heater was adequate for the outside temp and as I am often cold. If you stay there in the winter the tile floor can get cold, so bring a pair or 2 of fizzy gripper socks. there was a place to hang clothes with a luggage rack underneath, a coffee maker, a well lit vanity with sink, but a tiny bathroom with tub. I often have to adapt to inaccessible spaces. But hope to see more universally designed rooms at all lodging in the future. People without disabilities CAN adapt to ADA rooms, while persons who need ADA rooms often cannot adapt to standard rooms. 350 Million wheelchair users in America. imagine if 1% and their families could visit...
Read moreThe attendant was friendly, there were no other staff that we saw, we stayed two night. The room was fairly priced, it was clean and had everything we needed, but don’t expect anything big or fancy. It was a motel, with parking outside the room. It had a swimming pool to the side, which was nice but the location was off to the side. We never did get in but we did see other patrons enjoying it.
It was not far at all from the lake which was nice, it was also near many restaurants (sit down and fast food).
Overall, if you’re looking for something inexpensive but still good this is not...
Read moreCame into town last minute for a funeral and didn't even plan on staying! All the reviews seemed decent, and for the price? I gave it a chance. Very friendly receptionist, and the room was clean! Sometimes you hear "motel" and it can be a turn off, but this was a nice stay. Clean rooms, nice coffee maker w/ coffee in the room, and flat screen Roku TVs! The bathroom was spotless, and the bed was comfortable for the price. Very close access to the center of town, and Door Dash was super convenient for some late night food. I would recommend this place, especially if it's a quick...
