What a Hidden Gem! As a "foodie" and aspiring chef, I am always on the lookout for good food and drinks wherever I travel, and The Belvedere BLOWS all the surrounding restaurants out of the water (I was really beginning to lose hope in the town). It's abt 2mins away fr downtown, and for around $50pp you get a wonderful evening filled with revelations in your mouth!
The specialty martinis are on POINT, try the Moulin Rouge; SO refreshing. Come early for the cocktail hour, this is naturally how any meal should be started.
Everything is made from scratch! The Pate, Mussels and Pansoti are fantastic. The Arugula, Ceasar salad, as well as the Gazpacho for the 2nd course and are really good. Entree was the Chicken, Salmon and Tilapia en papillote (old skool!) dishes which are BEYOND our expectations. Next time in the Chateaubriand is a must, the Bernaise sauce is made to order and fr real eggyolks. Dessert is SOUL-COMFORTING, all of them leave that Orgasmic sensation you want to end the night (perfected w/ a cognac :-P). What a great night
Oh! You should make reservations ahead of time! There are seating times (6pm on most nights and on fri/sat there is also an 8pm...
Read moreThis place deserves a 5 star review for many reasons. First, as other reviewers have noted, the place is beautiful, the hosts are gracious, and the food fabulous. In addition, however, we were deeply appreciative of their attention to our individual needs. Specifically, my wife and I are more cautious than most, at this point, about Covid infection. Masks are off, as is social distancing. When we express our concern, they went out of their way to accommodate, discreetly. For instance, they found other places for us to eat than the main dining area that were equally lovely. In addition, we have an electric plug-in hybrid, and they found a place for us to keep it charged in an area where cars are not usually parked. These accommodations may be more difficult to make once it's high season but we really appreciated them. If I had any minor suggestion, it would be helpful if there was a microwave oven guests could use to reheat coffee/tea or food in their rooms (it's possible there is one and we...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at the Belvedere restaurant for New Year's Eve and was blown away by the amazing food and service. The chef, Shaun, was incredibly talented and we had the chance to chat with him before leaving. He was so passionate about his craft and it really showed in the delicious meals he prepared for us.
In addition to the fantastic food, the atmosphere at Belvedere was warm and inviting. We were able to spend the night in a cute room, which was the perfect way to end the evening. The next morning, we were treated to an amazing breakfast by Nancy. She was so friendly and accommodating, and her breakfast was truly delicious.
Overall, my experience at the Belvedere restaurant was top-notch. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special dining experience or a comfortable place to stay. Shaun, Nancy, and the rest of the staff were friendly and attentive, and truly made our New Year's Eve...
