Pine Acres Lodge — Hotel in Laurinburg

I have stayed here a few times over the years 2014 , 2019 , and the latest October 2021 . When I visit the Carolinas I stay here to visit family and friends in Bennettsville and Laurinburg . It is a great price of around $60 and clean . It’s old school decor and beautiful pine trees surrounding the place .

I can’t believe some of the surrounding hotels being around $90 . The room I get is by the pool and is a King Suite . It comes with a small refrigerator and microwave . The bed is comfortable . It has a flat screen tv on the wall and dish network . The rooms by the office side are older , smaller and not as clean and updated . I checked one out this time before I got the King Suite since they asked me if I wanted the cheapest room . I can see why someone would give a negative review if they rented one of these . It is like another hotel . Don't stay in these , rent the King Suites on either side of the pool . It is only like $7 more !

The gentleman that checked me in was nice and hospitable . The room is dated , but I am fine with it . It even has the heat lamps in the bathroom . There is a chair outside your door to sit outside and enjoy the scenery . I like it . Others may want a more modern place , but that is up to you . I will return here again in a few years . This place was great. Honestly if I were driving past it I may not have thought to stop but some local relative s suggested it for us as they kind of know the owners. It's a privately owned establishment. It's owned by Americans. The place is a motel set up with maybe 4 buildings? There is an outdoor pool. We got there late at night. The lady was very sweet. Pointed out my room was "just over yonder honey" they still have the old key and key Chain system. As far as the room it was spotless and a really nice size! There was a round table with two clean plush chairs there. Two queen beds. A mini fridge. the beds were comfy. Also as a big bonus ...there were 19 of us staying here and our relatives were coming in the am to see us. They had put us in an area with a big courtyard and two picnic tables. Also outside the doors were plastic porch chairs. It was a great place for all of us to visit! Now... keep in mind as I said about the keys... this place isn't the newest fanciest place. The shower head is a regular old shower head. There is nothing fancy about it. But for a clean, cheap, comfy place to stay you...

Yeah so this place is a 30$ a night place for sure!!! Pillows are a joke! Folded both pillows on top of each other just to get them thick enough for some support still not close to cutting it! Then my buddy and I asked for extra pillows so we can get some sleep, and the lady at the desk tell us they don't have any more pillows!!! The beds have springs that have been stabbing my back to the point that I feel like a 90 year old man I'm 33!! Tv was outdated in 1998 it's 2018 and then they charged us 56$ a night!?!?!??! That's not all!!!! Here is the very best part of all!!! We left our keys in the room, and our buddy made a joke that his key would probably open our door, and to our surprise the keys here are in size fits all our key opens his door, and his opens ours! Not these aren't card keys they are cut grass keys, and we can open any room with our keys!!!!!! This place is a joke.
