The best food I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time! I was staying in Laurinburg for work for the week, I ate here every night. My server Shelly was so helpful and very attentive to everything, she has the best personality! The beef kabobs were perfectly seasoned, so tender you didn’t need a knife with rice pilaf and delicious grilled veggies! Then the Steak & Cheese Sub, oh man was it good! THE ABSOLUTE BEST sub roll I possibly have ever had, then the flavor of the steak was amazing! I’ve been SEARCHING for a long time now for a sub with this flavor to only be disappointed! This one WILL NOT DISAPPOINT, had it one night with the “home fries” names is deceiving because they are more like thinly sliced circular potatoes deep fried and very tasty! Then another night with the Lebanese Potato Salad which I had never had (can’t stop thinking about now) it’s phenomenal as well! AND the hummus here which I have never had too many times due to not being crazy over. Well Mike the owner offered me a sample of it with warm pita bread… oh Lordy it’s delicious as well! I didn’t taste one bad thing here! ABSOLUTELY so happy I listened to the reviews!! Do yourself a favor and eat here, the only regret you may have is that you didn’t try it sooner or that like me you don’t live closer! And let me mention Susie the lady who is at the register, she a sweetheart as well! Just a great experience here and I am so thankful for business's like this one who still show that they actually care about the food they serve, do it so well! Kudos to you ALL! Much love from someone who earnestly...
Read moreOkay Laurinburg, I see you. I stopped by The Bistro and let me just say… my taste buds are still sending thank-you notes.
I had the hummus with pita, and let me tell you—smooth, garlicky perfection. Like, I’d slather it on everything if I could. Then came the chicken shawarma with rice pilaf, and honey, I didn’t even look up while I ate. That rice? Fluffy and flavorful. The chicken? Seasoned like someone’s Lebanese grandma whispered the secrets directly into the skillet.
Tried the Lebanese potato salad too (because I’m nosy like that), and it was totally different than what I expected—in the best way. Tangy, herby, and fresh, not drowning in mayo like your cousin’s potluck dish. And don’t even get me started on the fried banana peppers. Crispy, zippy little bites of heaven. I could snack on those all day.
Now look—we live in South Carolina, aka the land of all things fried and smothered. And don’t get me wrong, I love a good fried whatever. But The Bistro has such a refreshingly diverse menu—you’ve got options that are fresh, flavorful, and not trying to deep-fry your entire soul. The greens in the salad? Fresh like they actually saw sunlight recently. And the whole meal just felt lighter without sacrificing taste.
The service was top-notch—super friendly, quick, and the owner even came by to check on us, which made it feel like we were regulars (and now I kinda want to be).
If you’re in or around Laurinburg and haven’t been to The Bistro yet… fix that. Immediately. Highly...
Read moreThis place is great! I've been here a few times now and every time has been a good experience. The food is delicious and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. It's so nice to have a lighter, healthier restaurant with plenty of vegetarian options in Laurinburg when almost every other restaurant is greasy fast food. So far I've tried the chicken shwarma sandwich, the vegetarian plate #4, the veggie sandwich, the rice pilaf, and the Lebanese potato salad, and they've all been hits! The Bistro is definitely a must-try for anyone in the Laurinburg area! (Pictured is the veggie sandwich and Lebanese potato salad combo, which also comes with a...
