This is a great state park. They have a very large sandy beach with a designated swim area. In mid to late summer the water is very warm. On the beach there is a park store that sells supplies, ice cream, firewood, and even hot food (like chicken strips ect.) The camping sites are nice some are even secluded from the rest. The road around the camping site area is paved but is rough, narrow in places, and has some very sharp turns, i would not recommend trying to pull a trailer through there. We come here to go jet skiing and its one of our favorite places to ride. The boat launch can be kinda tricky for anyone who isn't the best at backing up with a trailer. Once your on the water you have to be very careful getting out of the no wake zone because there are a few places where there are rocks close enough to the surface to hit. In the morning the water on the park end of the lake is calm but the chop increases as the day goes on. Because of this we usually ride to the far end of the lake, where its nice and placid, and find a sandy beach to...

I love that the bathroom facilities have individual shower stalls. You have to pay to use them, but it was only $1.25 per 7 1/2 minutes. It's its own room that you can lock it from inside. The water will get as hot as you want it, and I mean HOT, so be careful! The bathrooms are air conditioned and were very clean. The north campground has a playground for smaller kids. It's not very big, but it's newer and in great shape. We had to drive to Leavenworth a few times for supplies, but the drive is fairly short. We look forward to coming back next year, but with all the camping stuff we need. Be sure to store your food inside of something or the chipmunks will take it! 10/10 would recommend this for a family vacation or low key...

Check into your site at the ranger station located at the entrance of the park. The roads create a loop with camping spots on the inside and outside of the road. The bathrooms and showers are in the center. Due to the abundance of trees around the campsites, there is a lot of shade available if you get the right spots. They also keep the wind down on windy days. There are also an abundance of spots available for trailers and RVs with hook ups. Each spot has a picnic bench and a fire pit.
It is required that any tent is set up in designated tent areas and extra ones have to be set up in the vehicle parking areas. Day use parking spots are available outside the campground and require the Discover Pass or appropriate fare.
