We are platinum elite members and booked our stay for 4 people in Cortyard Marriott Hanover during our visit to Dartmouth. We arrived late after dinner although I checked in before on the app. Front desk person was not at the desk and I waited for about 10 minutes until I yelled excuse me and saw a young woman come out and proceeded to "check us in". When I asked for upgrade -she just said nothing available. I asked her if enough room for 4 people in our room. she said "yes". All the answers were brief and seemed like she was doing me a favor. I had to inquire about breakfast myself since she said nothing because with platinum elite we usually get benefits. Whole interaction was comletely unpleasant. I asked her then if we can get a rollaway bed just in case and if somebody can make up the pull out couch. she said she will ask to bring the bad and we can make up the pull out ourselves/?? They knew 4 people were coming into this room and nothing prepared When we got to the room we were shocked how small it is and there was a TWIN pull out - how was this room suitable for 4??? there was no room to put in a roll away, - i called front desk and she said "there is room" . I asked also for pillows and flat sheet for pull out since despite her telling us that all extra linen is in the room -there was only fitted sheet and blanket.. it took 45!! min to get a roll away !! when we asked to bring it soon since kids were exhausted (it was 10 pm when we arrived) , and we had to move all the furniture to fit the rollaway. And of course she didn't even tell housekeeping about pillow and flat sheet so guy had to go back it was 11 pm , 1 hr after arrival that we barely settled in. Breakfast next day was also not a great experience because nobody seemed to be sure how not use vouchers and then it took a very long time to get the order. Less then optimal experience!! very disappointed, will not...
Read moreWith limited hotel options near Dartmouth, the Courtyard Marriott proved to be a good choice and a solid alternative to the Hanover Inn. Its convenient location, just five minutes from campus, offered easy access while being closer to Lebanon for a wider range of dining options.||The rooms and common spaces were clean and lived up to the standards from Courtyard Marriott. One great feature was their package service, which allowed us to have numerous items shipped directly to the hotel—a game-changer that saved us from over-packing our suitcases.||We visited during a busy time with many new Dartmouth students and their families staying at the hotel in September and during new Family Weekend. While the common spaces initially felt underutilized, the hotel’s layout and amenities made it the perfect spot for us to organize a makeshift meet-and-greet. The staff was not only accommodating but genuinely supportive, helping us create a welcoming atmosphere. This impromptu gathering turned out to be a highlight of our visit—meeting other parents and watching our students connect made the transition to college life feel even more special. Multiple bottles of Malbec was a great help. ||Overall, the Courtyard Marriott went above and beyond during a bustling period, ensuring a smooth, comfortable, and memorable stay. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Dartmouth to see your kids, or dropping them off.||BOOK EARLY! The rooms fill up months in advance to Dartmouth events, and prices...
Read moreAmazing hotel! I felt like I was in some 5 Star luxury hotel but definitely not having to pay the kind of prices to match.
The beds were so comfortable and there were plenty of comfy pillows. It was obvious that the linens, towels, and frankly the whole room had been cleaned thoroughly.
The in house "bistro" served tasty food and although they claimed it wasn't a restaurant; I still had some left for an evening snack thanks to generous portions.
The bartender was incredibly helpful in assisting my travel companion to find a wine she liked, as neither of us know much of anything about names and/or varietals. She was quite generous in having my companion taste a bit of each until one that struck the right note was found. I think I had root beer.
It was so nice in the morning to be able to get a latte as opposed to the typical cheap free hotel coffee. Having a Starbucks barista at the bar sure kicked off the day well.
Every staff member was friendly and more than willing to help if needed. Even the other guests seemed cheerier than at other places I've stayed.
From now on, this is my/our go to hotel to stay at when we're in the...
