Sunset Motor Inn — Hotel in Lebanon

I stayed in room 10 a little over a week ago but left after a few hours after spotting numerous bedbugs while I lay on the bed. I was bitten repeatedly, and have spent the last week plus mitigating the situation in my car and belongings to trying to ensure none get in my home. The owners said they were going to deal with situation but that can take months, so I urge all people staying there to carefully check the bed, headboard and other areas for signs of bedbugs (adults are small and reddish brown, seed like in appearance and bite exposed areas when you’re in a bed with an infestation. Bites are generally a few in an row and appear 24 hours or so after the bite. Look in the corners of the mattress and check for black spots on the carpet and bed clothing). Keep your clothes /luggage off the bed and floor and inspect, wash and dry everything on high heat after leaving if you stay. The owners were pleasant and gave me a refund, but it’s not a fun experience wondering if you may have brought bedbugs into your car/home, so I hope they deal with it and everyone is careful in the meantime. I have been in places I could not walk barefoot in. This comfortable room was great for what I needed. A night to take a break from staying with my son in his room at Darmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. I wanted a place to clean up, and get a night's sleep. Not only did I do that, I give the shower a glowing review! After 3 nights of not cleaning up, the hot shower soaked away much of my worry. Plenty of hot water! The carpet was clean and soft on my feet. The bed was very comfortable (King Size) and clean. The TV was modern and I just wanted to veg out and watch PBS Masterpiece Theatre. A few good dramas were on. Add to that an A/C that worked GREAT and a breakfast the next morning, and it is well worth the price I paid. BUT...there's more! The sunset behind the mountains reflected onto the river below is unique and gorgeous. Would I stay here again? YES! BTW, the breakfast was hot eggs and sausages, a selection of toasting goods (breads, bagels, muffins) and cold cereals, juice, coffee. I was not expecting such a complete breakfast. I have congestive heart failure I’m handicapped Booked 3 nights couldn’t park near my room cause others parked in front of my room went to ask the hotel people to ask someone from New York to park in one space not take up 2 so I didn’t have to park across the parking lot they told me no. That I could leave. I told them my situation and they said not our problem. And I was asked do you want to leave I said only if you reimburse me for the night since this is day 3 not able to park near my room they said oh well we don’t care. On another note. Went to use the shower couldn’t get it on and when finally as able to no water pressure whatsoever like using a straw dumping water out on you. I will never stay here again and will highly recommend people to stay away I think a drug deal went down across the parking lot. If you want drugs and sketchy service. By all means stay here. Other wise run far away...
