I have never been here before a nice paved scenic drive until you are almost run done by the speeding people that know where they want to be and there is a school bus route so the big semi food delivery truck was not to difficult to maneuver around when I arrived I asked the lady about a possible tent sights for tonight she said here's a number or go online and reserve one I said okay who do I pay ? I called the number she provided of the white truck I assume maintenance man /manager driving around he told me cutting grasses today on the roads on my way in he said go on line it's Friday there's nothing to day we are full for tent camping tonight and totally booked but we have a cabin for 90 bucks . I told him I did download the info off the websights and it said it opened may 1 but he said due to virus it didn't until 26 th of may . I felt like I was a bother to him and rather not bother him and go to web sight . I left it seems nice if like the lady said in the booth the manager will show me where to go and navigate you once you call him didn't happen week ends are totally booked . I didn't get as far as the hedges of the gravel...

The camp grounds are clean and well maintained, HOWEVER... there are very strict rules here and the old man and his wife and son running the grounds is authoritive, old and very prejudice and out of tune with modern society in our opinion so beware. Although this is a PUBLIC SPACE to be enjoyed by all, my wife and I did NOT feel welcomed here and this part of Spokane seems to seems to support this behavior and mentality. The parks department has given the HOST of this campground ABSOLUTE POWER and I mean this literally. He decided that the music from my phone was "amplified" because it was hip-hop and he called the police, created a false narrative (about me going the wrong way on the trail the day before) and the police FORCED MY WIFE AND ME TO PACK UP OUR RV AND LEAVE THE CAMPGROUND!! I have NEVER encountered anything like this before. IF YOU ARE A MINORITY, BEWARE OF CAMPING HERE‼️The county has given this "host" complete authority and your CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS CAN BE DISREGARDED HERE. There are many other INCLUSIVE OPTIONS outside of what the police referred to as "COUNTY PROPERTY" where the KKK cannot operate...

I spent many summers coming here while growing up. It was always a fun getaway with the family. When it's not too busy, camping is great. The water doesn't always smell so nice, but that just comes with marshy areas. I always enjoyed swimming in the small swimming area and watching the numerous bugs and wildlife in the park. There are grills for barbecues, a volleyball court, a bridge to the middle of the marsh, covered picnic areas, and plenty of hiking to do. It's a beautiful park, and I particularly love it in the fall when all of the colors pop. Sometimes people don't have their dogs on leashes though and I've witnessed people allowing their pets to chase wild animals. I also think that it can be a little dangerous having the fishing area so close to the swimming, and I've found hooks in the swimming area before. It wasn't a common occurrence, but it did happen. Overall, it's a lovely park, but maybe there could be some more...

Used to be fun $2 to go now they rainsed it 4 times cost $10 per car and all they did was put pavement parking lot ife take the $2 and dirt parking lot and they didnt even fix the one thing that was broken in the park which is the gorgeous dock that walks out overlooks all the nature area 😡 ruining the place bringing in the karens and Californians disrespecting people. In the beach area they made the dock in such a way that really is not suitable for the needs of everyone now the people who fish are fishing where people swim at which is more likely for someone to get hooked.. the people who use this as its a public spot should have say they wasted money closed the park the whole summer to ultimately not improve the park a huge disappointment and the cost is horrendous to families who have been coming for years... from spending $180 going every day to $900 is a greedy, selfish jerk move for the public and we are not happy about it!!
