I will be in with the few good things before I go on with the bad. The location is convenient, close enough to enjoy the downtown night life but away enough to avoid too much traffic and Check in was a relatively quick process. However I had booked our hotel room through a 3rd party and as I was speaking with the front desk to check in the way the man spoke to me was off-putting. The room was a disability room I booked due to a mass in my knee and my bone being necrotic that makes it harder for me to walk. I was asked why I needed a disability room which is none of their concern, following this question I was then told he didn't like to rent to Lincoln residents as he didn't want us having guests or parties, another inappropriate statement. I am in my 30's and was with my fiance to spend some time in peace as he just got back from a month long trip out of the country. I can't help but assume he profiled me in both of his remarks because I'm covered in tattoos and look on the younger side. When we entered the room I started to notice the condition of the room which was poor at best. Housekeeping was seriously lacking, dead flies in the windowsill, what looked like laundry detergent that was splattered on the wall, trash from the previous renter of the room was left behind (toilet paper in the peephole, and some number combination on notebook paper taped to the door), smashed bugs stuck on the wall which I will come back to, dried blood on the sheets and mattress topper, the AC didn't work properly leaving the room humid and hot majority of the time, the dispenser for conditioner in the shower was empty upon check in, the man who checked me in (the owner I believe) seemed to always be watching (anytime we would step outside he would watch, he overheard me talking on my phone and when I glanced over he was poking his head around the side of the building looking at me) which made coming out of the room uncomfortable. The breakfast was horrible with the option of cereal (raisin bran or frosted flakes), yogurt, toast if it were available, honey buns if you were up when breakfast first opened, the apple juice from the dispenser came out brown like mud mixed with water and practically nothing would be restocked, be up right when it opens or hope they have something left. After the first night while we were laying in bed I seen a bug crawl from the bed onto the blanket which looked very similar to a bed bug (I am not positive this is what the bug was but I will be including pictures of everything), I bagged the bug to suffocate it and didn't see another similar to that one but will be treating everything when I arrive home as a precaution. A man approached my fiance and I and advised us to avoid one side of the hotel for unknown reasons but we listened. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and actually advise against it until it's in proper condition. The hotel has potential but is no where near where it should be for the public to be staying in and as a housekeeper myself its disappointing to see the standards that they accept. Id save the money you'd spend here and look for another accommodation.

When you drive for a living and you're trying to find a hotel with true truck parking, they can be very hard to find. Many will put that they are but actually are not. We found this hotel to actually have truck parking and in a very convenient location. We were close to restaurants and convenience stores. The night clerk was a very friendly and helpful young lady. The rooms were clean and decently furnished. Nothing fancy but we were comfortable. When I say we I had my driver that I was training with me and we were there for the weekend. This was the weekend of the AFC NFL playoffs and we found a local Sports Bar to watch the game. The hotel management was very friendly and when we requested more towels and pillows they were quick to oblige us. They were a little steep on there nightly right and the only way to book them is through one of the online hotel booking services because they were not going to give us a break for AAA, arp or commercial CDL driver. I was glad to find it because now I know where I can stay when in Lincoln with my Hotshot trucking business.

Initially, I was very pleased with the check in process and the quality of the room. However, my opinion of this hotel changed drastically after the first night. I was descending the stairs going to my car when I encountered a 2-inch splinter in the wooden stair railing. Too bad my right hand noticed it before my eyes did. It took off a chunk of skin and was very painful. I immediately brought this issue to the front desk; however, the young lady wasn’t able to do anything, not even offer an apology. I asked to speak with the manager on duty, to which she replied that “he was busy and would call me when he was free.” I never received that call. I had to self-administer first aid, which required an unscheduled stop at a local supermarket to purchase supplies for that purpose. I also obtained a tetanus shot a few days later, after returning home and now have a noticeable scar on my hand from the injury. Had this issue been handled better by staff, I probably would have still given this hotel a high rating because of the quality of my room.

Arriving was awkward as both people behind the desk were on a phone call on speaker and I was not really greeted. They asked if I had a reservation and it turned out the person on the line was helping them figure out their new system. That was all fine and understandable but then they asked for my card. I gave them the card thinking they needed to have a card on file for damages, since I pre paid on the wyndham app. The guy starts saying that the card has insufficient funds for the room. I tell him I paid ahead with the app. He argued that I did not and it was just a hold and to just give him another card to charge. I showed him on my bank account where I was charged for both rooms and both payments were posted and withdrawn. He kept telling me no it's just a hold. You had insufficient funds for the room do you want me to charge another card. He was rude and told me to just talk to the lady on the phone. She told me the payment didn't go through. Even though it was removed and posted on my account a month before that. Then after an hour of stress and confusion He tells me I will talk to your bank if you don't get a refund can I charge another card. So I let him because it was 11 at night and we were exhausted.

On to getting into the room. It was musty smelling and outdated. Our friend got put into a smoking room that smelled strongly of cigarettes and had a bag tied around the smoke alarm. There were black hairs on the sink, toilet, bathtub, etc.

The bed was reasonably comfortable as were the pillows and it seemed clean enough aside from a stain on the sheets.

Breakfast was a few beverages, Danishes, yogurt, 2 cereal choices, oatmeal, and Waffles so it was reasonable.

The lady the next morning printed our receipt and had to fix it because they didn't charge us the correct amount. She was apologetic and said our money will be refunded from the original charge. She was very kind. Overall it was a sketchy place, I felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome, I understood they were struggling with the new system but didn't feel heard and it felt unfair that I was having to come up with a second payment late at night after a long drive.. what if I didn't have that extra money after wyndham took the first payment? On top of all of this it was a 25 DOLLAR PET FEE. I have never stayed at a super 8 with such a high pet charge.

It was a decent place to stay if you don't have kids, aren't in a rush to go to bed, don't pay in advance, don't have pets, dont have super high cleanliness standards, and aren't trying to relax or enjoy...

Horrible the the management was very rude and nasty. I check at the motel for a family funeral i was running late so i drop off my luggage and i had a box of donuts which we had been eating with 2 left in the box and we was gone for about a hour and a half when we return.. The box had bugs all over it and on the tv console. I took the box down to the front she gave me a trash bag to put it in and then she call the manager and while talking to them she was whispering as if i could,nt hear and i heard her say that I brought them there as she was talking I notice bugs crawling around on her counter and I pointed it out to her. My box was in the trash can on the floor. She than gave me a card to a different room, I went and got my belonging and took them to the new room. I took a shower after looking around the room. When I got ready for bed I pull the blanket down and there was bugs in the bed. I call down and told her again about this and she had the manager to call me back because I wanted a refund to go some where else. The manager call me back very mad and rude and told me she was not going to refund my money nor would she move me anymore and I could just leave the motel. And she stated that anytime you have anything sweet in a room that what you can expect to see is bugs. I no that I am not the only person that have eaten food in a motel room . And had only been gone less than 2 hours and there was a million bugs all over the top of the tv console . I am a very clean people my home and belong has never been infested with bugs and I had to put my belonging in the car and sleep there cause i was,nt able to afford another hotel. I have stay in a super 8 in Omaha,Ne and It was noting like this one .I would not recommend a dog to sleep there ever again and if I was,nt for me being a Christian I would have cause a whole lot of problems But I thank God For Jesus but i have need felt so grading in my life . Respectfully Your Brenda...
