First time visitor to Baker’s Acres campground and it was a great mini vacation! 3 of us stayed in a cottage and it was more than enough space. The room could use a little remodel or sprucing up and the beds/pull out bed are not the most comfortable, but it got the job done. Outside The cottage had a large deck, picnic table, high top table and new propane grill. Inside there is a main bedroom, full bath, full kitchen fridge, oven/range, toaster, coffee maker and microwave. There are minimal utensils and kitchen ware, so be sure to bring your own. You will also need towels, blankets, sheets and pillows. Don’t forget the beach towels! The living room has a couch that converts into a bed and a few chairs. We were with other family members who had an RV so it was nice to see the amenities and hookup at their campsite too The pool was nice and plenty of chairs. It Can be a lively setting and get a little rowdy with kids playing and the diving board (big kids too!) The grounds were a little hard to navigate around the campground as a first timer, we got lost a couple times haha - or maybe my sense of direction is just off - but better signage and direction would be helpful. Main office staff and grounds staff were nice and friendly. The general store has lots of things from candy, food, wood, ice, and anything you may have forgotten to bring along. There’s also a Walmart 12 mins away and an ACME grocery store less than 10 mins away. The drive to the beach from the campground was easy and took about 20-25 mins. There’s a seafood/veggie/pastry market about 3 mins away and the seafood is fresh and delicious. Overall it was a successful first trip to Bakers Acers and I look forward to more family vacations here!

Our week long stay was nice. The campground is quiet and relaxing. The biggest disappointment was being sent to the wrong site. Although it did say the correct site number on our paperwork, the lady that signed us in, circled the wrong number on the map and told us how to get to it. She even said many people fight over that site. After an hour and a half of setting up camp, we were told we had to move. It was an honest mistake on her part but we were moved to a site that was very close to the same size for a drivable camper that could have easily fit on the site we moved to. That camper came only for a weekend and then left. The site was empty for the rest of the week. They gave us a free bundle of wood for our troubles, but not worth the move. Internet is not so good either. If you need internet as i do for my business, it's not dependable. Cell phone hot spot is faster and more reliable. I was also disconected quite often. A plus sign for this campground is its very centrally located to beaches, Six Flags, Digger Land, and major board walks ( Seaside Heights, Ocean City, Wildwood, Atlantic City) and played a major part in our decision to stay there. Nothong was more than an hour away. We also chose to stay there from other reviews. They had some pretty cool landscape displays and our four year old loved swimming in the pool. The sites were nicely spaced and fairly roomy. I would guess that half of them are occupied by seasonal campers. We can't rate the showers because we used the one in our camper. We would come and stay here again.

Bakers acres is a hidden gem nestled right near Tuckerton New Jersey. A very short drive (about 15 minutes) to Long Beach Island. The Baker's family are wonderful people who have been providing family friendly camping for decades. I'm so grateful I was able to become a seasonal at this campground. It truly is a rustic oasis! Plus they know how to have a good time. From various actives such as live bands, cornhole and horseshoe tournaments, to bingo. There's activities for young and old. The pool is a refreshing place to hang and chat with other campers. I especially like the Friday night movies they do under the Pavillion. The office/store has a great collection of things incase you forgot something. There are wonderful tent camping spots if that's you're thing. Or places to bring your camper if your a glamping queen like myself. Everyone is pretty friendly with one another, there's never any issues. I do like that they have a quiet hour, since people come here to unwind. I love walking around and seeing all the different set ups everyone has. There is a hiking trail, plus your not far from other trails in the area. The bay is 5-10 minutes away great for fishing. I absolutely love it here and look forward to many wonderful years ahead.

This was our second visit to Baker's Acres Campground. The first time was during the height of the pandemic, and the second was this past week as things are beginning to return to normal. Both visits were exemplary. We traveled as a family with two adults and two children on both occasions in a 31 foot Class C motorhome. While there are pros and cons to every camping experience, this particular campground is definitely in a class of its own. In this review, I will cover location, accessibility, staff, amenities, activities, and price.||||Locations: Baker's Acres is located in Little Egg Harbor Twp. just minutes from the NJ State Parkway making it very accessible from all points in NJ- about a two hour drive from the northernmost and about a one hour drive from the southernmost points of the state. It is about a half hour from Atlantic City, a little less than an hour from Cape May, Asbury Park, Seaside, and Point Pleasant, and about fifteen to twenty minutes from Surf City/Ship Bottom, LBI. This makes this campground a very convenient place to stay if you are looking to access the pine barrens and all points on the Jersey Shore. ||||Accessibility: While ADA accessibility in a campground largely relies on the campers themselves, public areas of the Baker's Acres Campground seemed relatively accessible for most abled and differently abled individuals. Sandy roads in the front part of the campground would be difficult for wheelchairs, however the back end of the grounds is mostly gravel roads that would be negotiable in most electric wheelchairs, golf carts, canes, and crutches. Overall, it is a doable experience for many differently abled individuals, and I give them a LOT of credit for making it as accessible as possible. |||| Staff: Staff members are everywhere! Unlike most camping facilities where campers are hard-pressed to locate anyone who works there for any reason whatsoever, Baker's Acres maintains a large staff who are always easily located and extremely helpful. ||||Amenities: Baker's Acres offers some serious amenities. There are ping pong tables, a game room, a pavilion, a HUGE salt water pool with an eight foot deep end and diving board, a gigantic playground replete with a pirate ship, swings, sand pit, playhouse, climbing structures and tons of room to run around; there is a basketball court, a bocci/cornhole area, tennis courts, and volleyball. There are also nature trails and plenty of places to walk, jog, and ride bikes. At various points throughout the grounds, there are also multiple cleverly designed photo opportunity spots including a surf setup, a marina setup, and an old timey distillery. There is a fish pond near the office, and the office itself doubles as a general store stocking everything from grocery basics to pool and camping necessities.||||Activities: Saturdays are busy days! There are movie nights, fish fries, crafts, hayrides, and myriad other planned activities.||||Price: Baker's Acres is a moderately priced campground in comparison to NJ sites in general, but for the Jersey Shore? They are rock bottom reasonable. For the location and what they provide, you will not find more value for your dollar. A week at Baker's is less than a NIGHT at an LBI hotel, and seasonal rates are lower than a WEEK long house rental on any local beach. Different sites list for different prices. We stayed on a full sewer and 30 amp electric site for eight days this year (ten last year) for about $600.00. You simply cannot beat the price point.||||Conclusion: If you enjoy camping in a not-so-roughing-it location, Baker's Acres is where it's at. We are currently considering seasonal accommodations, but either way, we will DEFINITELY be back next year. FIVE STARS....
