Where do I begin? It was late, my son and I have been traveling for 12 hours already and we're very tired. The old saying any port in a storm does not hold true when it comes to this poorly taken care of port. The price was what I could afford but I should have continued on or paid more and gone elsewhere. After checking in I went to my room and the door was slightly ajar, I checked the room to make sure there was nothing weird, not anybody hiding anywhere just because you never know. I grabbed my 6-year-old son and brought him into the room to lay him on the bed. As I pulled the covers back I saw a tiny specks and flex of things that I had no idea what they could be. Were they bugs? Were they leaves? Was it just dirt from these sheets that were never cleaned? I had no idea. But it was definitely easy to tell the hairs that were on this bed. I decided for us to both share the other bed because it was not as disgusting. When I woke up in the morning is when I saw the rest of the disaster I had stayed in. From disgustingly stained carpets, gross used washcloths on the chair, to a broken piece of molding sticking out with nails just at the right height of a small child, the list goes on and on. I made sure to take pictures and video of everything so that people don't think I'm just exaggerating because this place was beyond disgusting! When I tried to use the shower that morning, it took quite a while for it to finally start having water come out of the shower head and I had to be gentle with the spout for the tub because as I tried to switch it from tub to shower it almost came off in my hand. When I finally did get the shower to come on, the hot water would shoot out for about .01 seconds and that was it. After that, I was done. My son and I weren't able to clean the grossness of this room off of us so we packed up everything to leave. As I went into the office to complain this woman started shouting curses at me and claiming that her god would take care of me if I reviewed this property badly. That he would take my job, my car, my family from me. I expressed that I do everything in excellence and that I wouldn't have paid $10 for this room had I known the terrible shape that it was in. She said that people pay $80 and $90 for that room, I feel very bad for those that paid that much. She then threatened to call the police on me because I told her that I had pictures and videos to tell her how bad that room was. She said she was calling the law so I finally just left. As I was leaving a man walked up and I asked him if he had stayed there and he said no he works there and I told him I hope he can find another job and he told me to get the h* out of there with my S*. So all in all one point of one star is too much to give for this property. It needs to be shut down, maybe demolished, but definitely removed from the ownership of those that are running it currently. Don't waste any time or money on this...
Read moreI was driving all day and looking for a place to stay. I came upon this hotel advertised online for $41.00 a night. I was charged $65.00 plus tax totaling $71.50. While checking in I was told the water was off for repairs but it would be back on and available in 30 minutes which was obviously a ploy to save on water costs and scam people as there is a “NO REFUND AFTER 10 MINUTES ” policy after check in. Upon entering the room I was hit with a humid, unclean moldy smell. Luckily the a/c did work. While waiting for the water to become available I discovered some disturbing issues with the room. Roaches alive and dead everywhere. Damp, very dirty, stained worn out carpeting. Water damage and mold on walls and ceiling. No smoke detector One towel, no soap or shampoo And I saved the best for last…The water NEVER became available AT ALL!! After being charged $ 71.50 I felt I had no choice but to stay. During checkout I expressed my displeasure with the services and asked for a discount on the room. Mr. V. Patel (according to the sign on the desk) became immediately aggressive with me and had the nerve to argue with me that I indeed did have water. (I assure you that I did not and had to make the rest of my drive not showered). The manager was unprofessional and used very foul language with me, even went as far as calling me a mother f*! I can’t believe that health and fire officials allow a hotel like this to remain in business. I called my credit card company to get the charges revoked and will not give up until I get a full refund. I was not expecting much to begin with but I never in a million years thought it would be as bad as it was. This is a horrid hotel and should be put out...
Read moreMy family and I arrived last night after driving 24 hours straight from Michigan with two children ages 6 and under..... When we arrived we were to the point we just wanted a bed and a clean place to sleep this hotel was not clean this hotel was not even close to the word clean I will be contacting the franchise under which they are operating because I have stayed at many hotels under the American Inn & suites name but this one takes the cake as someone else has said I guess let's start with the good it has a bed and pillows...... That's about all I can say about it we rented two rooms due to the fact there was six of us I've taken lots of pictures we could talk about the non-draining tub the mold in the bathroom the piles of sand that surround every inch of the room the pile of dead bugs in the corners 9f the room on the floor the cobwebs that have dead bugs hanging down from the ceiling the door with a gap that you can pretty much see out the TV that you have to literally put every digit in manually to find a channel no wi-fi like it advertises no clean rooms like Google advertised I paid $180 to stay in a motel that I would picture in a movie where people have shot up and died very interested in making American inn and suites aware that they are branding everything that is in these pictures we will never stay again I would rather sleep in a tent at least I expect bugs and nastiness...
