I have been to many Super 8 hotels but this is the worst one I have ever been to. The owner is rude and not friendly. The moment we reached there, we had to wait for minutes for him to come to the reception. There was a sign on the front desk saying, ā€œdail 0 If you need assistanceā€. He showed up after few minutes. He was over his cellphone and he continued to talk on the cellphone when he checked us in. The rooms were not as expected ( not like other Super 8 I have been to earlier). The carpets had stains and room was not cleaned properly. The chair seat had a hole on it. Later on (like after half an hour) when I came for a coffee, he was still on his phone taking on his native language. A gentleman asked when is the breakfast was, he pointed towards the notice on the wall and continued taking over his phone. This was the worst experience I ever had with Super 8. May be he should learn some manners. I will try to avoid staying in this hotel if I visit this place again.

The only reason this place isn’t shuttered is that it’s (unfortunately) the only hotel within 50 miles or more. There is a small hometown hotel in Britton that gets good reviews, but it’s always full when we are in this area. Hundred and thirty Washington’s here gets you very basic room, a broken toilet (literally broken at the base, causing the toilet to rock back and forth) that staff readily acknowledges is a problem but just as readily rents the room out at full price, out of service pool (it’s been out of service for the 4 years we’ve been coming here to visit family), broken ice machine, no soap in the public bathroom (which is also not clean), a very basic continental breakfast, sheets and bedding that is threadbare/has holes in it. This is what I would expect for $60/night, not $130/night (in the middle of the week). If you can push on through to another town for lodging, do it.

The mattress had low spot in it. I think it had broken springs. It was very noticeable. I kept waking up with my arm asleep because I rolled into the hole.

Truthfully, if I could give less than 1/5 I would…first thing, my husband and I stayed here 3 years ago and it wasn’t bad then except for the pool and hot tub being under construction. So when we booked it online this year the website said the pool and hot tub were in working order… so we packed our suits..well upon arrival we soon realized the pool in hot tub were in fact not in working order… and looked the EXACT same it did 3 years ago. When we checked in it was speedy and the price was thought to be ā€œnot too badā€ until we saw the room. There was a funky smell when we first entered. The room appeared to be clean but then quickly declined from there.. when my husband got done showering he informed me to close the shower curtain slowly because the curtain rod was not properly connected to the wall and he had to reattach it, then he said be careful when you grab a towel because the towel rack is not properly mounted either because it also almost came off the wall…but that was not the worst part of the bathroom, when I went to grab a towel I quickly noticed brown stains on the first towel I grab and so when I threw it down and grabbed another which with no surprise also had brown stains, so I checked every single towel we had and they all had brown stains.. thankfully I had brought a beach towel to use while swimming and since swimming was NOT an option I used that towel while showering. The water pressure of the shower head was awful and you would have gotten better pressure from a lawn hose. The tv constantly froze on the guide screen.. the microwave start button had to be pushed 15 times before starting. The parking lot entrance was terrible if you’re not paying attention you could bottom out or worse. Parking is limited especially if you have a boat, which I assume many people stay there as it is 23 min from lake Traverse. I could keep going but this is the majority of the major things…Overall we will not be...

Weird smell, like a mix between Indian food and stale ciggarette smoke. Staff seems aware of it as they walk down the halls with a can of air freshener, or at least I'd hope that's what it was and not their idea of covid precautions with lysol as that would further worry about their idea of cleanliness. Carpet seems as old as the building, the stories the stains tell could write a book. Half of the bath towels are yellowed, would assume operators have an aversion to bleach, not to mention they all have a similar smell as the building - go figure. Clear evidence of water damage on the walls with peeled, unfixed paint. Leaking faucet is a nice touch as it adds a white noise effect to distract you from the thin walls; Mix that with an old, overly squishy mattress and you've tricked yourself you're living the high life sleeping on a water bed until you wake up remembering why you spend the money on a chiropractor. Old, broken, and squishy lazy boy sitting in the corner with springs so tenuous I'm surprised there wasn't a corpse stuck in the chair - a poor soul waiting for help that wouldn't arrive until the next customer or bidecadal cleaning (whichever comes first), who's rotting smell would have been covered up by the over powering stench that would have killed him if the chair didn't.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone else that doesn't want to drive an extra hour to a...

Well it is safe to say this hotel does not care at all about their guest. We have been driving all night because of a death in the family so i start calling places about 7am to ask if they would have available rooms now because we are driving in, i was told yes. Three hours later at 10:30 am when we arrive I get told it will be at least 2 hours for a room to be ready, I explain we have been driving all night and have to be with family tonight because of a death can they do anything to make a room available sooner then he says it would be 1:30 pm earliest, in case anyone other than him can't count thats 3 hours minimum NOT 2 so now the wait would get longer I walked away because of frustration. My partner goes in to ask for their corporate office number because after telling someone your have been driving all night and need a room he should never have had us driving to his location to wait a few hours the answer is no, not tell this afternoon, but par for course with this man when asked for the corporate office number he REFUSES to give it to us. Avoid these people they couldn't care less about making grieving sleep deprived people drive pointlessly to their location I cant imagine customer service gets better once they...
