First I would like to say we love Sun Outdoors and we’ve stayed at their place in Berlin which used to be castaways. My first issue is the first exposure to knowing there are no gas golf carts is when you arrive. Nothing on their web site. That was a frustration and when I mentioned it to the front desk I got the message “I apologize and will make note of that”. Over 90% of the campground is set up with seasonal sites with an extremely wide array of appearances. It’s obvious there is no HOA type of expectation. Then the drain pipe you connect to isn’t even right. I had to use duct tape to make it work and it’s slanted so it doesn’t even drain correctly. No dog park for your dogs. If your a couple with no kids and you have dogs this isn’t your place. We will be checking out a few other campgrounds around this one for a better fit.

Where do I begin this was my second time staying here at sun retreat Cape May. I came with my family and little doxie puppy. My little puppy escaped off her collar running out the whole campground resort on to the highway and being alone by herself all night in the woods . I WANT TO especially THANK CONNIE HANNAGAN who went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us find our puppy even after her hours of work. Without her help of comfort we would’ve never found my Lexi girl to bring her back with us after our stay. Thank you soo much Connie

My family experienced "glamping" for the first time here. We slept in a large tent. However there were electrical hookups and even clean showers, sinks and bathrooms. We didn't cook at the campsite. We went out to nice restaurants every night.

Nice camping experience overall, but I can only give it 1 star due to the issues we encountered and the staff's failure to address and acknowledge their mistake, placing us in a hazardous position. After a one-hour rainstorm, our site was flooded with 4 inches of water because their drainage system was clogged. The security guard approached us aggressively and unhelpfully, asking what we expected him to do. He even stated that it was safe to go into the water with the 30-amp cable submerged. I immediately told my kids and wife to stay away from the site. Although I complained, it felt like they didn't care at all. I ended up resolving the problem myself with the help of a very kind and helpful janitor who assisted us in unclogging the drainage wall.

This is a reply to the response of your team that the fault is to blame on the rain and my own behavior: I am including some pictures of the situation to provide context and clarity. The reason I initially called was due to the significant safety concern posed by the submerged 30 and 15 amp cables, which made me afraid to leave my camper. I sought assistance in unclogging your drainage system, specifically the drainage wall. I did not insult anyone or raise my voice. Instead of providing assistance, your security guard approached me aggressively, jumping out of his cart, coming within two inches of my face, and yelling at me, which made me feel threatened.

I asked him to step back and explained that I was the one who should be upset, not him. When I asked how we could solve the drainage issue, he repeatedly responded with, “What do you want me to do?” At that point, I gave up on him. Fortunately, a janitor happened to pass by, and with his help, we quickly found a solution.

The primary issue here is that the security guard, whose role should be to ensure customer safety and deescalate problems, instead created additional conflict and danger. He also recklessly stated that it was safe to walk through the water despite the electrical cables, which put my family and me at risk.

Furthermore, while you acknowledged that the drainage system was clogged, you seemed to deflect responsibility by attributing the issue solely to the rain. This was not a severe weather event, and the lots around us were dry after just an hour of rain, indicating that the problem was due to poor drainage maintenance.

Legal Responsibility: The reason I first called was because I was scared to get out of my camper with my many 30 and 15 amp cables submerged. This poses a severe electrocution risk. The security guard’s suggestion that it was safe to put our feet in the water with submerged electrical cables was legally and morally irresponsible, putting my family and me in significant danger.

Ethical Conduct: Your security guard's behavior was unacceptable. He jumped out of his cart, came within two inches of my face, and started yelling at me, creating an aggressive and confrontational situation. As someone responsible for customer safety, his job is to de-escalate problems and provide solutions, not to create more problems. His aggressive demeanor and unhelpful attitude are contrary to ethical standards expected in the hospitality industry.

It appears that you are unwilling to fully take responsibility for the incident. Given the circumstances, I believe a refund is warranted. More importantly, I request that you acknowledge the mistakes and inappropriate behavior of your staff, particularly the aggressive and hazardous actions of the security guard. Even if he has been with you for many years and is a friend, it seems he may be causing more problems than he resolves.

Thank you for considering this feedback. I hope it leads to meaningful improvements in your service and safety...

Sun Resorts Seashore Campground in Cape May NJ. In my opinion is just out for $$$. I been a loyal Seasonal Transit RV Camper @ this campground. My late Brother had a permanent unit in the campground I stayed at Seashore in June / July / September between my 3 stays @ least 5 days I spent $1800 Combined in 3 visits for sight & fees. & Not 1 time did I have access to Campgrounds WiFi or TV. The WiFi the campground is supposed to have ( SUCKS ) it will say your connected. But nothing will stream. I was pissed off expressing this concern to the staff. I couldn't watch any MLB Games / NASCAR / PGA Golf The staff said that there's nothing they can do because it was corporate decision to take away free WiFi for guest's. I told the staff that's total B/S I can't have Internet access with the amount of money sun Resorts is charging me wifi should be available to all camping guests the staff told me to call corporate but there's is nothing they can do & they acknowledge the WiFi doesn't work... Some campers are disrespectful too I had to yell @ a few campers driving golf carts during the early evening hour's because they felt the need to use my camp sight as a Short Cut 1 camper almost hit my $400.00 CORNHOLE BOARDS & then the person had the nerve to say (I didn't see the CORNHOLE BOARDS) & he thought he can just cut though because it looks like an area he can just cut though and no one else was using the sight next to me. When night time rolls around. The campground becomes a haven for all the campgrounds idiots to drive around with music blaring / beer cans in hand / kids driving / golf cart lights shinning in your RV or in your eyes while your sitting trying to enjoy a nice campfire. let's not forget all the kids riding there bikes with all there friends using other people's camp sights as short cuts. The campground is supposed to have a Ranger Patrolling @ night to enforce the rules ( Kids are not supposed to be riding bikes after 10:00pm) when. Silent hours begins Haven't seen the Ranger driving around to enforce this at night in all 3 stays. Everything in the campground store is overpriced including the firewood

& To top it off in 2026 the whole water & electric section in the T section of tannanger will be all permanent trailers. Next year & I am told by staff members within 5 years Seashore Campground will no longer have any Transit camping @ all... The campground eventually wants to DO AWAY WITH ALL TRANSIT CAMPING. Because Corporate says they then know for every camp sight in the resort they know every permanent trailer there & resident will be paying $8600 a year. & Won't have the hassle of Transit Spaces being open or not booked @...

We booked a long weekend, Thursday- Monday, full service pull through site. The resort is huge. You'll need your bicycle to get around if you get a site far from the activities.

The pool and lake were nice, but I felt like the pool water wasn't chlorinated enough. It didn't smell clean enough if that makes sense. The life guard was checking the levels while we were there so I'm assuming the levels were fine. Life guard at the lake needs to ease up on her whistle power and let the people enjoy themselves with their children. I've never been at a resort where horsing around with my kids wasn't allowed. You start splashing around, running after a ball, jump for the ball from the water (not diving) ... whistle. Basically, they want you to stand there or walk around in the waters shallow ends.

I felt like there were too many people riding in their cars, because the resort is so large, just to get to the front activities/ pool/ store. Many people also did not obey the speed limit with so many children around it was scary. Right in front of our site, a child on his bike was almost run over by a pickup. The pickup was going too fast, braked hard, tires screeching, The child cut across the road, fell over onto the gravel. Yes, the child should not of done that, but this is why stopped limits are posted and should be 5mph.

We didn't have a problem with noise where we were. Some nights had more noise after midnight, but nothing beside someone speaking loudly in the distance.

I say don't waste your money on the food grill. The food in my opinion was bad. Burnt chicken tenders twice, french fries were hard and dried out, chicken gyro soggy mess, and the funnel fries were drenched with old tasting oil. Ice cream was good.

Our BIGGEST ISSUE was with the sewer system. IT SMELLS HORRIBLE! Our system was completely clean getting there, no smell coming from our lines/toilet before hooking up. We hooked up and started to notice a sewage smell coming from our toilet. Thought maybe something was stuck, so we cleaned out the tanks while we went site-seeing. When we returned our neighbor left, and the sewage smell was now outside. The sewer covers did not have a tight seal, and the smell from the campground sewer lines was escaping making it impossible to enjoy siting outside! We put rocks on top of the cap to seal it better, but the smell was still coming into the RV everytime you flushed our toilet.

The gate staff were very very nice. Active center staff had fun things planned for the kids. Store had a good variety of things.

ACME and liquor store are just...
