If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. This is a roadside hotel dream come true. I have traveled by car all over the I-10 and have had good and bad experiences with hotels and motels. I ended up here after a 700- mile drive at night. It was late. I was tired. And this place was right off the freeway. I didn't bother to check other places or any reviews. I just showed up and hoped for the best. All I wanted was a safe place and a clean room at a good price. I got so much more. Beautiful room with a big TV, comfy side chair, desk, mini fridge, Keurig-style coffee maker, and a microwave. Ample bathroom with nice toiletries. All stylish! But that's just the beginning! Included in the price were an ample breakfast including eggs and sausage, great coffee, fresh filtered water available all day (I kept filling up my water bottle), a fitness center, free computer access, reliable Wi-Fi, a cute pool area with towels, laundry facilities, cute and welcoming sitting area downstairs with furniture and decor so nice I would furnish my home with them. Also: gourmet coffee machine for use all day that can make you a latte, mocha, decaf, and anything else you can imagine (using freshly ground beans). I even liked the art on the walls. Seriously, I am a photographer and would put their photos up on my walls. What else? Ample parking. Very friendly staff and welcoming manager. And...are you ready for this? Free beer. Seriously...in the evenings they offer free snacks and free drinks (beer and soda). Free beer. I had Dos Equis in the can. I was not disappointed. This place is designed to be a step up from a motel, but this is two or three steps up. And the rate was only slightly higher than I would had to have paid to pay for a Motel 6. This place is so nice that I stayed another night just to relax before I hop back on the road. If for some reason I was needing a temporary place to live, I would move in here. No lie. And now (I buried the lead), it is virtually next door to the world's original and largest Buc-ee's. Free beer and Buc-ee's. Does life get any better?

This place is embarrassingly disgusting. We came in at 3am after driving over 17hrs. The front door wouldn't open, so I called 3 times to get the attended to the door. Once given a room, there was a foot of standing water in the tub, the toilet had feces in it, the floor was damp, the comforters were wet, and the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. When I told the attendant, his remark was "okay." I checked the mattresses for signs of bed bugs and found none, so because of the dangerous level of exhaustion and the lack of other options, we regrettably decided to just stay. The facilities were so disgusting that my three children and I left the next morning without even using the restroom and went down the street to a truck stop gas station to shower and use the restroom. The morning attendant was apologetic to me and kind. I have literally traveled all over the country, and this was hands down the worst experience we've ever had.

Absolutely disgusting stay – avoid this place at all costs. We checked in late with our two young daughters, only to find a damp, humid, musky room with a non-working dehumidifier and all the carpet was damp/ wet. The entire place smelled off—musty and dirty—like it hadn’t been properly cleaned or ventilated in ages. We called the front desk, and instead of addressing the issue, they brushed it off. We decided to make the best of it and try to sleep, but even the towels were already damp the next morning. When I mentioned it again at checkout, I got more indifference. But here’s the real kicker: the hotel attempted to charge us $23,123 (yes, you read that right!) and claimed we left the room smelling like weed. Absolutely NOT true—we don’t smoke anything, and we had two little girls with us. It’s offensive and absurd. This place is unsanitary, unprofessional, and potentially a scam. I would give ZERO stars if I could.

Update from review I posted 3 weeks ago It has now been over a month and a half and the Manager Amanda Sloop has not made any efforts to resolve her mistakes. She has not once, I repeat no efforts to contact us with any updates. Any time we called she would have staff ignore our messages or say she wasn’t in the office or she was off that day. When ever we did get ahold of her she said she was working 18+ hour shifts and understaffed (so which is it? Are you lying to us or is your staff lying). She says she’ll contact us back on X day and never does, this has happened 3x out of the 50 times we have tried to get ahold of her. The only contact she has ever made with us is replying to these revues. This hotel is HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Their manager Amanda Sloop should be fired. It has now been two weeks since we have tried to be in contact with her and she has been dodging her calls left and right. She has not asked for information to call us back and every time we call someone says she’s not available when she’s not there. We reserved a hotel block months ago I signed a contract and they are not willing to honor the block. Now I don’t have any rooms for my 150+ guest. This is all because Amanda, whom I’ve had communication with via email for five months failed to reserve our block. when I emailed her back in June for confirmation that everything was good with our block she replied back with “yes everything is fine.” We’ve had several guest try to reserve a Room in our block and we come to find out that are blocked us not exist because she chose to give our block to music festival that already has 10 other hotel blocks. Two weeks ago she said she would call the music festival and see if they would give us some rooms. It is now been two weeks she hasn’t called us and she’s not answering our calls. When we first brought this issue to light to her she said that she had no communication history with us in her system even though I have a whole email chain trending back from January to April and then to June. I forwarded the emails to her and still no reply. She should be fired, because this is disrespectful and she is now leaving me and my guests...

Disappointment and embarrassment does not begin to cover the range of emotions I am feeling towards not only the Best Western Longhorn, but more importantly Amanda Sloop the GM (even though she signs all public reviews as AGM). The incompetent Amanda Sloop as she is known by all the previous reviews has managed to make every effort to avoid taking responsibility for the fact she has ruined not only the wedding day of my daughter, but as well as embarrass me in front of life long friends and family. Who in less than a month will be flying across the country to to watch my daughter get married and will have no where to stay, because The Incompetent Amanda Sloop has not only ignored our repeated requests for resolution,or even information. The Incompetent Amanda Sloop has forced her employees to lie to us when we call looking for help in a disaster of her making. Where will I put the 50+ family who are flying in during a pandemic to celebrate my babygirls marriage. Instead I have had to spend my weekend calling people who had confirmationsand put credit cards down to hold the rooms, and inform them that no only do they no long have the reservation they had planned on for a year, but as well as tell them I have no where for them to stay. We were not informed with a cancellation notice of any kind we had to call in to find out the whole block had been canceled. Not only is the negligence embarrassing but it is appalling to think the Best Western would let The Incompetent Amanda Sloop be a part...
