Buncombe Creek Resort Marina — Hotel in Madill

Lovely place to vacation. Or buy property in one of the parks and make it your weekend spot or your forever home!! Down by the marina though..to be honest the roads need better up keep. I don't know if the state is supposed to be responsible or if the ones running the marina and stores are responsible. But the roads are full of potholes and this is where people back their boats in the water. And a road for the people that are camping with their RVs. The picnic table area needs tender loving care..it isn't inviting. The area right there isn't taken care of so that people could use the tables for the day. Piles of dead tree limbs have been sitting in that area since January. That's 9 months..no excuse for that. But it doesn't keep my family away, we still go as many weekends as we can. Just needs someone to have a heart for the place to be even more inviting with tender...

Buncombe Creek is a great marina that rents cabins and RV spaces, has a clean and beautiful gas dock store stocked with snacks and beer, and there’s also a store that’s situated on the main entrance road right next to a small restaurant. The location is out of the way but pretty and worth the trip. There are a few nice swimming spots out on “the point” and that’s also a great area to go on an evening walk—you might see some deer. There are plenty of fish guides that will take you out on the lake and there are local places that rent boats and jet skis....
