My family went around 7:40pm on a Friday night. After waiting at the hostess stand for 10 ish minutes, we were finally greeted. We were told it would be a 30 min wait for two adults and 2 kids. The wait was just over 30 minutes and when we were seated, we ordered immediately (drinks and food). We ordered a pepperoni pizza, nachos, a side of corn, and a BLT. We even closed out our check before getting our food - as we were anticipating it would help the process go by more quickly- to eat and get kids back to the Airbnb for bed. After about 45 min of waiting, we asked our server if it would be much longer, she said she would check. After 15 minutes she had still not returned. I went to ask inside on the status as my two young kids were very hungry and tired. They let us know they hadn't begun any of our food yet, and we had two tickets in front of us. We ended up asking for a refund and leaving to get my kids some food. One member said she would send someone to our table- after another 10 min of waiting we ended up waiting by the hostess stand.

The staff was all very friendly but I recommended that they inform customers (especially ones with children) that it would take well over an hour to receive food. We left quite frustrated (and starving). I would have greatly appreciated the heads up so the decision would have been mine to seek out another option and...

If you're not a local, don't expect to get service. We came in from colorado for a family reunion. We ordered our food after sitting there for 30 minutes we finally got our appetizers and she took our dinner order we never saw her again! After an hour, we asked for our check and she finally shows up and says we owe 177.00. We asked what for seeing as how we never got our dinners, there was 5 of us. Then she said we would be the 2nd order up! But some of the locals they knew by first name had walked in and had their dinners within 30 minutes of sitting down! The she wanted to box it up so we could take it to go. We demanded she take the food off and we'd pay for the apps and drinks. Which still came to 70.00. If they were so sorry they would have at least not charged us for the drinks seeing as how we got there at 6:30pm and finally left at 8:45pm. The whole staff ignored us they were too busy on the patio serving that crowd. I would of left a 100.00 tip instead she got a nickel. HORRIBLE PLACE...

When we arrived we were seated on the patio where I could easily see 4 waitresses. We sat for probably 15-20 minutes before I got up to ask a waitress to please send our server to take our drink order. We ordered our food at the same time as our drinks since we’d had ample time to look over the menu while waiting to order our drinks. We waited for nearly an hour for our food to come while we watched at least four other tables be seated, order drinks, order food, receive their drinks and food and begin eating. Please keep in mind, it was not super busy while we were there. While the atmosphere is nice, it lacks service. The food was subpar and was not worth the wait. I’d also like to mention we didn’t order complicated dishes (pancakes, fried eggs, biscuits/gravy). I think perhaps some more time training servers and working on getting the food out of the...

Five Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Twisted Anchor Grill and Patio in Kingston is an absolute gem on Lake Texoma! The food is always fresh and delicious, with a menu that offers something for everyone. The service is attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want in a lakeside restaurant — relaxed, welcoming, and full of good vibes. The portions are generous, the drinks are cold, and you can’t beat the beautiful views from the patio. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual lunch, dinner with family, or a night out with friends, Twisted Anchor delivers every time. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy great food by the water. This is easily one of our go-to spots in the area — highly recommend!

Excellent service and inviting atmosphere. A full bar and music outside on the patio. The menu was a little limited, but what we ordered was delicious. We were happy to see that they served breakfast all day long. Our only disappointment was the very uncomfortable small metal chairs. We chose to eat indoors where they did have a few areas with booth seating which was a lot more comfortable. Being new to the area, we were a little surprised when we received our bill that the combined taxes were over 11% of our bill, which I think is a little high for the area. We noticed that the liquor tax was the big reason around 13%. I attached the receipt for review. Overall it was enjoyable and the food was good.

Buncombe Creek is a very well-hidden cove on Texoma. Our neighbors had told us about the place so we wanted to check it out for ourselves. The outdoor eating area has great atmosphere, but the food is what made the experience for me. I opted for the blackened catfish with green beans and okra. The fish was awesome but the green beans were amazing. I will be asking for a double order next trip. The only caution is the OK taxes!! We are used to the TX side of the lake so very shocked to see $10 added to our bill in beverage tax. Would highly recommend for the food and dining experience but you may want to order ice tea or water to drink.
