We had our wedding at Beech Tree Cottages on 10/4/2024!
Beech Tree Cottages for starters, is beautiful. We loved the massive trees and the 1930s cottages that, with the proximity of the beach, really reminded me and my husband of both our hometowns in Cape Cod and Upstate NY. We loved how they only had one wedding per weekend, and having all the cottages filled with our guests made it feel like a larger event rather than just a day.
Beyond that the real selling point was Amanda. Other venues had point people that represented the venue’s interest, but at our first meeting it was clear that she represented our interest as well. She walked us through all of the rental and food options, and was very flexible in working with our vision. On the day she worked with all of our vendors, and was always available to email about questions, concerns, freak outs, advice, and suggestions.
The family and larger Beech Tree Staff were also great to work with. They did a great job with setting up all the decor I had accumulated, and the tablescapes looked better than what I had imagined. Everyone was complimenting the bartenders. They make their own in-house BBQ solely for weddings, and it was worth the hype. Multiple people have said to us it was the most fun they’ve ever had...
Read moreThe Beech Tree cottages are an unappreciated gem in Madison. Directly across their driveway is a beautiful walking or biking path into Hammoneset state park, right to a beautiful beach. Beech Tree provides bicycles, helmets and beach towels on a first come, basis. || When I said unappreciated I meant by the owner(s) Outwardly the cottages are quaint. Walk around the back and see the deferred maintenance. Inside, the mattresses were beyond attrocious. We checked out of cabin 3, 2 full beds. I woke up achy, sore back from literally sleeping in a valley. Bath towels, while plentiful but were thin. An upgrade would be expected here...I wouldn't fine these at a dollar store.||Property sits in front of a swamp with more swamp land across the street. Lots of bugs inside the cabin. Im a camper, this was too much.||I could have stayed at The Tidewater Inn for the same price.||Owner: good location, step up and invest on repairs and new mattresses dude. You have a winner there, act like it. Why paint the front of cabins and leave the backsides like that. Bathroom floors with patch jobs. Its like you don't...
Read moreWent to the cottages this weekend (5/21/21-5/23/21) and stayed in large cottage #9.||||It was amazing. The room had adorable beachy decor and comfortable furnishings. It was spotless, you can tell the owners take covid-19 very seriously. Check in and check out was socially distanced too.||||The bed was comfortable and the ac worked well. The mini fridge was large, which I appreciated because I brought pre-made food that could be reheated in the microwave. Tea, coffee, sugar and creamer was provided as well as very nice soaps and toiletries. Even the towels and blankets were soft and cozy.||||Only negative was the spotty wifi, however they were up front about it so I wasn't that annoyed. It was actually good to disconnect for a weekend.||||The area is also super cute. Madison and nearby Guilford are full of cute shops and restaurants.||||I will definitely be...
