North Shore Landing is a very nice RV park. If it weren't for it being private we'd most likely go back, but we decided not to get a membership after talking things out. The value is there if you're going to take full advantage, but we're just starting out so it's too early for us to commit to anything long term. We did get vouchers for 3 more free weeks this year, and North Shore will be ar least one of those trips.
Everyone is friendly, and they're more than happy to help with anything you might need. The lake is beautiful, and it's just too bad we had a total rain out during our stay. It gets noisy at times, but not anything unbearable. I think the main negative, for us anyhow, was the regular trains running next to the park. If you're into that, it might not be a thing, but we did find it a little disruptive. Of course, they can't help that, so it's not anything against what they have set up there.
I'd definitely recommend North Shore Landing to anyone who might even be a little interested in joining a RV membership network. Frank was a great guy, and he explained how their membership works. No pressure, and he was able to feel out where we are with our RVing life (newbies for sure) and made our presentation more of a get to know you introduction. Sort of felt like chatting with a new friend.
Great place... great people......
Read moreMy mother, Helen, my husband, Bob, and I just got back from spending two weeks at North Shore Landing and loved it!! BJ in the office is the bomb-you need something, see her! Rick, Emory, John, Lisa, and Ms. Terry will help you to your site, answer all of your questions, and do anything within their power to make your time a good one! Ms. Sophia , thank you for clean bathrooms and showers! And a shout out to Shaneka for learning the sites and who can go where! We did have to change sites due to the steepness of the wheels in the air and our ability to get in & out of the RV! We were moved to a site close to the lake that was absolutely beautiful!! The pool near the boat launch was the one we used. Granted it does need a Little work on the liner and pool deck, but we sure were glad it was open while we were there-it felt so good!! We took our two dogs, Baxter & Kimber. Just wish everyone would pick up after their dogs poop-no it's a gross thing to do, but you brought them, you do it! One thing we need to do is put a water filter on our waterline. We loved the train going by several times a day. The sunsets were breathe taking most nights!! We are TRA members and understand that the park is a work in progress. We just can't to come back for another visit and see what's new!! Get ready guys 'cause you will see us as soon as we...
Read moreWe were contacted by a time share company asking us to come and see this campground. We made a reservation 2 months in advance. On Friday 8/24 we received an email asking us to call and confirm that we were still coming. We did and were assured that we would be greeted with open arms on Sunday, September 2nd - we were leaving the ballgame in D/T Atlanta and driving the 1.5 hr trip Sunday morning. Today - 8/27 - we received a call from the customer support (yeah right) telling us that our reservation would not be honored because Monday was a holiday! Now mind you - we had had this reservation for over 2 months. They said we would need to come in on Saturday - I had already explained to the call center manager that we could not be there until Sunday at noon. They told us that our reservation would not be honored leaving us with no place to stay Sunday or Monday nights while we are enroute to a Tennessee. The call center personnel could have cared less. He told us that they had tried to contact us for weeks - this was absolute lie - refer back to our confirming with them a mere 3 days earlier. I had not missed a call from anyone at the call center as I am on call 24/7 and must take every call I receive.
Please do yourself a HUGE FAVOR and do not ever plan a trip to this campground! They are dishonest and will leave...
