June Mountain Chalet — Hotel in Mammoth Lakes

Kids under 12 ski free. They make their $$$ when your kids get hungry. If you get a widow before 11 AM and it is a clear day, you may have a difficult time ever matching that view. 3 stars for the food and another star just for the view. Tuesday we had two hamburgers with fries for $37. We just had water at those prices. A Whopper, Double Double, or Big Mac would have been preferable. The cook did cook it to my preference. Wednesday we had two premade and packaged turkey sandwiches with one slice of chocolate cake. If you have ever had a packaged slice of Vons choc cake and then tried the one we had, you would be extremely disappointed. $23.50 for that experience and my wife said never again to that sandwich. She would prefer to make her own and store it in the two dollar locker. I am going to look into MREs for the next trip or try something different on the menu. Pizza and chicken filet are fresh and delicious. Food are served right out of the oven and grill so generally good. One complaint is their ordering system is like 90’s that makes people standing in a long waiting line to order and pay.
