I have been to reverse creek lodge before and found the cabins to be nice but this last time I invited my family to all come and enjoy but unfortunately we had an issue with the cabin this year. Starting the first night I kept feeling something biting me on my leg while i was sitting on the sofa didnt think much of it but in the morning I had welts i had 2 which were really itchy. The second night everybody said they were having the same issue. I didnt understand it was really bad so we took the covers from the sofa's and washed them in the washer machines inside the cabins but it didnt stop it got worst. The third night I talk to the office and brought up a bit of concern but I was confused why is this happening. On the last night my wife had a small bug up her nose that bit her she blew her nose cause it stung. We told David which is the owner that night came over with a big jug of house poison and ask where primarily we felt they were coming from. We told him we thought it started in the sofas but now we feeling the rooms also. I showed Dave the bug on the kleenex my wife blew out her nose along with the kleenex with blood where it got her good. Well this was are bad experience due to this Dave told me pretty much we are banned cause he doesnt want people with problems which I dont regret speaking up on. He told me its human nature. Well Dave I wish you nothing but the best but me and the family had the same thing including a 2 year old that didnt come out at night and 5 year old it was very unfortunate but i must speak up in case this does happen again to another person. I think its a nice place but the way we were treated by the owner Dave is totally unacceptable he is blaming us and shaming us by not allowing us to come back due to his infested cabin, like im the problem and now we are banned which was the wrong way to go about it i stayed in your cabin and we would have mo reason to lie. Beware...
Read moreour cabin was excellent....not looking for a timeshare/condo but getting too uncomfortable to be camping in a tent this was an excellent step up! We had a one bedroom cabin - yes it was small, yes it was rustic BUT bigger than a tent, indoor bathroom, shower, kitchen will all amenities and even a TV which we never even turned on - king size bed with very comfy mattress. Right next to a little babbling brook which we could hear in the open windows of the kitchen and on or deck which was small, but had table and 2 chairs and a gas bbq,and private!!! Late every afternoon a few young deer would wander between the cabins and over by the little brook and small meadow. Kitchen had large fridge/freezer, microwave, stove/oven, coffee maker, fully furnished with cookware and all eating/drinking utensils. Small living room had 2 recliners, tv, electronic fireplace, small dining table and 2 chairs......everything you could possibly want or need in this small but very functional cabin. Lots of little homey touches in decor. Temps went down to 32 one night we were there and we were plenty cozy, and after 80 degrees by day it stayed nice and cool indoors until we could open up to the late afternoon air. Very convenient to local lakes and town on June Lake loop, yet felt a world away.||One last thing - this business is run by a family who were exceedingly friendly, helpful, willing to do anything they could to make our stay the best ever. We will be going back.....don't really want the secret to get out as we have found our new escape...
Read moreReverse Creek Lodge has individual cabins, spaced out comfortably, so privacy is not an issue. Our cabin was built right next to a tiny stream, so the sounds of gurgling water greeted us, whenever we relaxed on the front deck. Pine trees surround you and add to that peaceful forest feel.
This cabin had all we needed for a comfortable relaxing stay in the June Lake area, not far from good fishing at Gull & Grant Lakes. They had plenty of dishes, pots & pans, an oven/stovetop, coffee maker, 2 soft comfy recliners and a comfortable bed. The shower worked great, and hot water heater provided plenty of hot water for those chilly mornings.
Outdoors on the deck, there's a table & 2 chairs, plus a nice propane BBQ, which we cooked our fresh caught rainbow trout on, and some bratwursts for lunch one day.
Blue jays were plentiful, up in the pine branches. They'd alert other Jays, when food was about, with a shrill call. We saw deer walk right by our cabin twice, during our 3 night stay here. Also saw a Robin, giving itself a bird bath in our tiny stream, one morning.
I'd definitely recommend staying here, should you find yourself in the June Lake Area. This place is run & owned by a nice family, who were extremely kind & friendly. Our property was well-maintained, and it felt like we were camping in a forest, location-wise, though we were provided all the comforts of home. Our cabin...
