I have camped at all four campgrounds along the canyon here. Lee Vining is a nice campground, in a mix of high desert brush, and trees. Some sites are closer to the rivers than others. Out of the 4 campgrounds, this, along with perhaps Moraine are the most family and RV friendly. If you're tent camping this can be a turnoff, and I'd suggest you head deeper down the canyon to Aspen or Big Bend campgrounds. They allow RV's as well, but are much more calm and secluded. Lee Vining CG, like Moraine, thus fills up quickly on weekends and busy summer days, also due to how close it is to 120/Tioga Rd. (thus, Yosemite). If you're here in the shoulder seasons, or cold weather, know the sun (and warmth) hits here, as well as Moraine, quicker than the two prettier CG's up the...

We found this campsite by looking for somewhere on Google maps. For us it was perfect. It is close to Lee Vining town which has a nice selection of shops (a market, coffee shops, restaurants, and a nice sporting goods store) and also access to WiFi! We used this campsite as our base to visit Yosemite and Bodie. We live in Vegas so this was perfect for getting home after our camping trip. The toilet is a long drop but does the job. Site was a good size and the price was great at $14 a night. There happened to be a fire on the west side of Yosemite when we were there which lead to the Valley being closed but we were able to enjoy some beautiful walks on the east side. There are also some nice lakes on...

Kevin the Campground host is incredible!!! Kevin kept me well informed and made us aware of bear activity and I appreciated that. I camped here 3 nights with my family!! We love the Lower Lee Vining campground. The sites are very spacious close to the creek. Fisherman were catching trout in the stream. It is a stunning location. The restrooms are clean. Drinking Water is closeby. We loved walking around camp after our long hikes. Kevin is the best host ever!!! We will definitely be back soon. This is my favorite campground. Thank you for the incredible hospitality Kevin!!! We hope to see you again next summer!! We had the best time. Thank you!! I hope this campground is around for many...

The area was great and loved being around the grassy area with the large group we camped with. Felt very safe having the kids run around and play. They found a watering hole that they enjoyed going to every day. Wish I could give 4 stars but the camp host Kevin was not a happy camper. One of the nights he decided to "talk" to most of our group while drunk and was very inappropriate. He would come over and tell us to turn off our generators when it wasn't curfew, and even told one of our friends who came later in the week that he was tired of talking to us. Would love to stay here again, would hate to have Kevin again.

The Camp host is awesome. Super friendly and tons of help. The campgrounds were clean and easily accessible. I have a 32ft RV and found a beautiful spot that I could drive through. All the limbs were cut back so first time not scratching LoL. $7 if you have a pass $14 if you don't. The creek is strong so if you have a dog keep them on a leash. I am so glad I did. Even the best of swimmers have been swept away by the current I was told, don't let it be your furry friend!
