We arrived one day early for our planned Vermont vacation and needed a last minute room, only for one night, and preferably pet free due to allergies, and without breaking the bank. The office staff here were soooo helpful and accommodating, answering multiple emails and questions even on the day of arrival. When we got there they allowed us to look at a different room than what we booked because it was pet free. It worked out great for us. This was a quiet one bedroom suite with private door/entrance and a small balcony. The rooms and bathroom were extremely clean, and spacious. The king bed was comfortable, as was the full size awesome couch in the living room (what a rarity for most lodging places!). Cute balcony via screen door looking at a meadow, trees, and mountains off to the sides. There were two huge TVs, microwave, nice fridge, Keurig. There was a huge full bath with double vanity, shower and jacuzzi, and also had a half bath as you first walk in the room near a huge closet. Coffee in the am in the breakfast room was excellent, with lots of teas, and you can have warm muffins, toasted bagel, yogurt etc. And the woman who works there was very friendly and helpful. Probably the only issue we had was an extremely loud fan/AC unit but that was not that big a deal and wish the balcony furniture was a little mire comfortable. The place is very well lit at night so you will feel safe, but aren't able to see the stars too well with all those lights. There are nice Adk chairs on the property and a comfortable Adk two seater bench. Incredible views surround the place. Its much more affordable than the bed and breakfasts and inns, and more beautiful than a hotel by far. Assuming they add flowers, planters, hanging pots, or wreaths on the doors etc for the summer (cuz right now the outside buildings/doors are plain looking) it'd then be one of the prettiest places in Manchester. It's a short and lovely drive into the town where there is so much to do and see. Very convenient location for this part of Vermont. We would DEFINITELY stay here again. It was at a hotel price, but offered so much more, especially the view, balcony, private entrance, up close oarking at your door.|My tip would be to contact them to make sure you are getting the type/size of room you desire, and which view, and what level of privacy. I think there is a range, so really worth asking. That worked out much better for us than trying to go through the website to choose our room....

Read moreWe stayed for one night in the Green Mountain Room suite. I guess for the $$ it was adequate; however, the chairs in front of the fireplace were shabby (not shabby chic) and had rips in the arms - not small rips that might have been recently made - but signs of years of long wear and tear. They probably should have been replaced or recovered a couple of years ago. As the fireplace was the draw for us, sitting in those chairs felt a bit icky. The fireplace grate was the smallest we'd ever seen, and keeping a fire going was a challenge. The bathroom was extra roomy; however, the stall shower was enormous with just a shower head w/controls about 5 feet away and the floor grout was moldy. It would have been nice to have two sinks in that bath - it was certainly large enough! There was a king-sized bed; however, there were 3 small standard sized pillows instead of 2 king (or even 4 which is standard) - odd. The room was clean, and if you're just looking for a quick pit stop as we were, it was adequate. I thank the woman at check-in who was very accommodating when we checked in at 8:50 PM - 10 minutes before they close for the evening. The free breakfast was a continental one, and ordering was a complicated process due to COVID. I'm sure the views were amazing, but because we checked in after dark and it rained the next day, we didn't get that experience. Initially I was disappointed that we couldn't book for two nights, but it...
