Duffer Motel — Hotel in Mangum

I'd give this place 0 stars if it was possible. Mary the owner is very rude and hateful. She tells her customers to "shut up" she accused my husband & I of stealing towels & a bath mat. When there was only 1 towel no bath mat also we did not even use the bathtub so therefore did not even use the towels. We checked in at 7:30 pm my card was charged $72.35 when we was told $62.92. When we checked in we turned on the heater, went to Sonic came back ate dinner my mom came out there to visit for about 20 mins she even seen there was 1 towel no bathmat. She went home my husband, son & I turned out the lights & tv & went to sleep. This morning we noticed that we locked the keys in our truck & Mary knocked on the door telling my husband he needs to "shut up" because he was loud talking on the phone. Well my dad came to the hotel to pick us up so we could go to my sister's house to have her husband help unlock our truck. Mary was smoking a cigarette watching us leave we only had my Dallas blanket when I got in the car husband had nothing in his hand but the key so before he got in the car he walked the key to the office and my dad drove to the front & my husband got in. Well at 12:30 pm today my card was charged $18.40 so therefore we was charged $90 dollars for one night. Mary argued with me on the phone kept telling me I need to "shut up" she is taking me to court & even calling the DHS. Then she tells me to call my bank about the charges I did & that extra $18.40 that was took out was nothing to do with my bank, she told me she charged me $16.00 for the towels & bath mat I supposedly stole which I've stayed at plenty other hotels nothing has ever came up missing why because I nor my husband or kid's have ever took anything what so ever. Just because my last name is Stowe & my sister had an issue with her a while back she is now accusing us of something...

If I could add the pictures I took, I would! I didn't see any roaches but there were over 20 dead crickets in the room, tables weren't wiped down and the most disturbing part about our visit was the bed! The comforter had not been washed and still had someone's "bodily fluids" on it to put it nicely. When we told the staff, they apologized and offered us another room. But that was it, we still had to pay the full bill. This was my third stay at this motel and it will be my last, I'll drive from Altus from now on. Oh and when you've accidentally locked yourself out of your room without your keys or phones. Don't expect them to answer the "Door Bell" at night. You'll need to go...

I enjoyed the stay and the hospitality from the cleaning lady as well as the maintenance and I think her name is dedra. But the older lady is very rude and very on edge with customers and after moving from 1 room because of the space to a bigger room and then being that we have two vehicles she wanted us to move again. Everything all around was great besides her lack to properly communicate with customers and as well as throwing her other employees under the bus.
