Holiday Motel Manistique — Hotel in Manistique Township

I'm so lucky to have the chance to stay here this week. I called only a day ahead of time to book a room on my way across the U.P. of Michigan on business. I received my room confirmation within seconds of hanging up the phone. WOW! was I glad I did as they were completely sold out when I arrived. Hosts, Pat and Kara, were friendly, professional and I truly felt that I just stepped into my dearest, friend's place! The Holiday Motel has a retro-northwoods vibe. In the short time they have taken ownership, the updates are evident without losing the charm of the retro characteristics. Check in/out was super fast and easy. Free Coffee and Continental breakfast is available each morning in their lobby area. They also have a tons of local information on what to see/do and dining in the area. My room was very clean. Refrigerator, Microwave, and luggage stand plus a great desk to catch up on business if you are traveling through - FREE WIFI service that was super speedy. Shower was hot and great pressure. So who doesn't want a good nights sleep? right? well their bedding was just plain dreamy!! The softest sheets, excellent duvet/coverlet and the perfect mattress. I was disappointed I couldn't sleep in more :) I have never been this way in the U.P. prior and I know I'll be returning...

We were going to stay here on our trip from lower Michigan to Wisconsin. We rented a room here on the morning of, but unfortunately, we were not able to stay. The owner, Pat, called us soon after we booked the room and notified us that due to a leak, they did not have a room available for us. He was extremely apologetic and immediately started looking for other accommodations for us. We were frustrated with the circumstances, but he did everything he could to help us. After booking us new accommodations elsewhere and covering the cost of our new room out of his own pocket, he also refunded us the cost of the room at the Holiday Motel (even though we told him over the phone to just call it even). Although we were not able to stay here, I would definitely try again, since the customer service we got from Pat...

We hadn't planned on staying here but after I mistakenly booked our room in St Ignace for the following day and it being none refundable we decided to stop early at the Holiday Motel. It's just a little mom and pop right on SR 2 a few miles outside of town. The 1st thing I noticed was how nice and clean it all appeared as I was pulling in. Then Ronn at the front dest was very friendly and welcoming. He gave us a room and upon entering it was immaculate. Even the bedspreads are a light color. My only complaint is my bed ( room 21) squeaks on every movement. I wasn't with my significant other on this trip so I'm referring to rolling over. Ummm, switching positions... Ugh, Changing sleeping positions There we go, that works.

I will definitely stay here again...
