I have traveled many years for my career and never once had such a horrific experience. I needed a place to stay for a month and thought The Yardley would be perfect. After the first few days I asked for a refund and that I would like to stay elsewhere because I did not feel comfortable. I was given one towel and was charged for 6 extra days and told I would need to leave and come back in the middle of my stay. The room was a disgrace, I bought cleaning supplies and cleaned the mirrors which were filthy and the counters. I was given zero instructions on what to do with my own garbage or any advice how to survive a month. I was instructed I would not be able to attend breakfast daily which was fine because I started work earlier than the breakfast. Also she would not clean the room till after my stay and to bring my own sheets and bedding.
Her anger and attitude will never be forgotten. I am a single father trying to work and raise my girls was not only over charged by her for my stay but also charged by her for a separate stay which never happened totaling over $3,600.00. After much dispute she has kept the majority of money in the most greedy of fashions, as if I had stayed and had room service and breakfast for a month. I was barely there a few days and immediately addressed concerns and wanted to leave.
In the end Katelon brought it on herself to justify keeping the money while stepping out of business boundaries and offering personal advice on how I “should be.” I have never written a bad review and after she did admit I was her first “long term” stay and she didn’t know what to do, I feel obligated to warn any future potential clients. I could not afford this, plus being charged elsewhere to complete the job has been very difficult financially. She also charged weeks in advance of the stay…I will never forget this and hopefully she will find the decency one day to...
Read moreWell by no ones fault except a computer glitch, I was overbooked. And they seem to have bent over backwards to make it right (free breakfast, still on schedule for massages, possible discount from owner if we went back) and a refund on the rest. However, after talking to someone... 10 days later I have not received confirmation as requested of the refund being processed, nor have I seen it. I have since tried calling multiple times to go to voice mail and can't leave a message because the voicemail is full. She gives an option to text on the voicemail message, but no one texts back. I have sent several emails and no one replies back!!! I'm now not interested in the free breakfast or having massages there and just want my full refund back. Super perturbed by the lack of communication or follow-through.
I stayed at the Yardley Inn MANY years ago and loved it. So I'm sure the actual staying there part is still excellent. But if you get caught being overbooked, it's a...
Read moreOur stay here was above and beyond my expectations! Everything in sight was so clean, it practically sparkled! Our bed was exceptionally comfortable--and had remote functions to incline and/or massage the head and foot of the bed.
Check-in was simple and included a brief and charming tour of the Inn's common areas. The owner is an absolutely lovely woman who remembered our names and the preferences we submitted when we booked our room. We stayed in the Wedgewood suite. The room is GORGEOUS! Its elegant blue tones and antique, dark wood furniture make you feel like you're in a sophisticated 1800s hotel that is immaculately kept. Everything is tasteful and the amenities are current and convenient. We found the jetted tub and everything in the bathroom to be accommodating and luxurious. We were served a delightful and hearty breakfast of fruit, eggs, bacon, and lemon blueberry pancakes, all of which were prepared...
