Casita Juni looked very good on the site pics, but the reality of this place was much less especially for the price. Yes, it is convenient and rustic, but Juni is not practical for more than a one-night stay. The two nightstands are wooden blocks with no drawers and only a small surface area for your stuff. The lamps take up most of the space. The only place to store things in on the mantle over the bed (watch your head on the massive concrete platform) and in the bathroom on a smaller concrete shelf. You can scatter things on the floor, on the windowsills or hang things on the ends of the curtain rods! A few hooks to hang things and a small dresser are needed. For the cost of this casita, we did not plan to live out of our bags for three days.

Make sure you bring headlights, flashlights or some sort of illumination. The placement of the bathroom lights offers very little illumination over the sink area. You won't need an alarm as the sunlight shining through the open cracks in the front door will wake you. Critters got in through the open base of the door and chewed through a plastic bag to have a midnight snack. We originally thought about doing some meals, but the mini microwave and matching dishes and utensils prohibited that. The coffee was convenient, but I didn’t want flavored coffees, decaf or tea! The view was nice but someone is putting in a vineyard next door. Finding the drive at night is a challenge; just remember to note landmarks during the day. Next trip I will do more research for places to stay,...

We stayed in the Casa Miranda. It's in a great location & very private because the other casitas were pretty far away. The rooms were clean and large. We LOVED the king size bed. The decor was beautiful. We also really appreciated the unique outdoor shower. We had a microwave in our room. It wasn't in the description of the room and so it was a nice surprise. The room also had a small fridge, a Kuerig & coffee and creamers. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. There was really only 2 things that impacted my rating. The shower floor was extremely unsteady. The shower is completely open and the floor is made of wooden slats over the drain. They were bouncy and flexed into the drain causing us to have to really focus on balancing while taking a shower. I gripped the wall a few times because I though I was going to fall onto the concrete floor. It needs to be replaced with something more steady. Also, the A/C in the main bedroom is on the side wall, parallel to the bed. At night when you are trying to sleep, the temperature reading is shining into your eyes. It's extremely bright and disrupted our sleep every time we turned to that side. It would be nice to find a way to dim it or cover it somewhat. It was really distracting at night. Overall we had a good stay and would probably stay at this...

Avoid Casa Lele if the weather is Hot!!!

We wanted to like Casa Lele so much, but we were badly disappointed in our stay (May 2021). The major problem is that the Air Conditioner is WAY undersized for the size of the Bedroom Area (18 foot diameter circle) and the Bathroom (13 foot diameter). The single unit is poorly positioned to provide cooling even to the bed that is only 8 feet away from the unit. The room was uncomfortably hot even though the A/C unit was running continuously for our entire 2 day stay. Even with the bathroom door open, there is no chance of cooling the bathroom down to a comfortable temperature because it is so far from the single A/C wall unit.

There are a couple other issues with Casa Lele that would be easy to fix but were nuisances. The bathroom door won't close (much less lock!) because the doorknob and latch weren't set at the same height. In addition, we had about a dozen millipedes make their way into Casa Lele through the holes in the wall that are used as drains for the shower. These 4-6 inch long critters were not welcome additions to the Living and Bath areas!

The bed was comfy and the rainfall showerhead was nice, but not being able to sleep because the room was so hot made for a very uncomfortable two nights...

We stayed in the Casa Lele accomodations. Very comfy bed! Fire pit is wonderful! Night sky viewing, AWESOME! An inside sitting table, would be helpful. Bring a skillet/spatula so you can cook on the fire pit. There is only a microwave, no hotplate. Bring a blacklight flashlight (we did) for maneuvering in the dark! Scorions were on the bathroom ceiling one night at 3am. And in the bedroom another night. 2 Baby scorpions inside, near the door jams. If the 2 door frames were sealed better,...(with doors closed, you can see alot of daylight) it may help keep unwanted critters out! Also, we recommend bringing your own fans. (We did, because of a previous customers A/C review) Nothing was ever done. The 1, A/C unit does not do anything for the bathroom. It is okay for the bedroom. The outdoor shower is great! All in all; we enjoyed our 5 night stay. We would do it again. And maybe something to temporarily seal the door frames. Like ductape! The first picture is the scorpion on the ceiling, in the bathroom at 3am! Other photo, those 2 are outside the door.

We stayed in Casa Coyote and it was so awesome, so adorable, and in the perfect location!! We loved hanging out at the fire pit looking up at the stars and listening to the coyotes. Deducting a star due to a few things... the bathroom is hooott!! There is no A/C in there and you have to keep the door closed if you want to keep your bedroom cool. I suggest bringing a box fan. This is probably not a problem during the cold months. Another thing, if you are a lady with long hair, bring more towels. You are only provided with 2 bath towels. Due to our current circumstances during COVID, we were required to check out at 10 am so they can have extra time to sterilize and sanitize everything. Totally understandable. But having to leave an hour early was a little annoying. All in all, I would definitely come back again. Great place!!
