Very clean an quiet, perfect size beach with good clean sand which is not typical for most nearby Houghton Lake resorts. Awesome fire pit. Plenty of comfortable seating, swings. Cabins 100% stocked . Cable. Easy pull out couch Nice picnic table inside cabins for dining an storage. All patios paved and covered. Also with a picnic table. Above average grills. Garbage maintained daily. Owner available at all times but only when needed or questions need to be asked. Fishing boat w high HP motor and pontoon available. Kayak, paddle boat available for anytime use. Playground, bball, bags of ice, community area with free games. This is just a small portion, all other information and amenities is on the website. My entire family was more impressed in person. My family has been to most of the resorts in that general area of Houghton for many decades and the SUNSET Resort!!!...

So far so good! Our large family has come to stay for the week. We only arrived today, but the place has everything. The cabins are spacious and come with all the cooking utensils you could want. My husband, 2.5 kids, and I are actually staying up in the rooms, and those are nice as well. Unlike the cabins, they come with sheets and towels. There is a shared bathroom. The stairs leading to the upstairs are narrow. It would not be handicap accessible. There is a kitchen with a fridge, skillet, toaster oven, crock pot, utensils and everything you could want but a stove. On the large upstairs porch there is a grill. The 3 season room is filled with board games, video games, and an air hockey table. Outside there is a beautiful patio. There is also a full playground, laundry facilities, and of course, the beach! What an unbelievable experience we had. My two boys and I booked a trip to ice fish. From the first time I contacted Eric, he went out of his way to ensure that my boys and I would have a great time. First, the cabin was spotless and filled with everything that we needed to make our stay comfortable. The ice has been a bit spotty this winter. Eric kept me up to date on ice conditions for the two weeks leading up to the trip. Upon our arrival, Eric pinpointed the exact spot on the lake to fish. We caught a ton of fish exactly where he said we would. My boys had the time of thier lives. I have been an avid outdoorsman my entire life. I have taken trips all over the world. I have never been treated as good as Eric treated my boys and I. We are already planning our next trips. One this fall and our second annual ice fishing trip. We will be repeat customers for sure....
