As you first pull in, you sit in front of an old abandoned guard shack waiting for someone to come escort you in. They advertise full service hookups, pretty sure those are all taken by the permanent campers there. Found this campground via Good Sams, asked when I got there if I get the discount. I was told yeah and never got it. Water smells like sulfur in the showers, there are no fire pits, you have to build your own. Their map online is very outdated as well as their website. There is no swimming pond with a beach like the map shows. When you find the pond you can see what remains of the beach after it was stopped being for. There is no baby/ kiddie pool as the website shows, it’s been filled in with concrete. Bathrooms could use a little more attention, men’s was dirty and had 1 working light. It seems like it was once a great campground that they stopped caring for as much. Site also advertises WiFi, never could find it, there were no hay rack rides as the website advertises in the summer. You have 1 person working the entire park and trying to run the...
Read moreWarning this place is definitely not a resort or a rv park. It is a long term rv park. Run down dump. The even on one side of us had the neighbors from hell living there. The woman was yelling and cussing her dogs, her daughter and some guy that came for visits. Her dogs she kept tied up behind our camper. Pooping everywhere. Got loose a few times. Ended up jumping in my lap once. Music blasting from somewhere all night. Sites were horrible and in disrepair to say the least. The worst thing was the water. It stunk terribly. Undrinkable. Hated to even shower or wash dishes. The camper started smelling bad because of the water. We were afraid to even check out the bathhouse. The other ever on our other side was not being lived in. Windows busted out. Just a sad dump. The property and land could be beautiful if they would take care...
Read moreThe staff & residents were incredibly nice, however, this place has seen much better days. I remember staying here often as a kid over 20 years ago, and the place has fallen into a state of disrepair, which is a shame because I remember a thriving resort like community, comparable to a Jellystone park campground. Now it's more a place for seasonal RV housing or permanent trailers/park models.
The roads are some of the worst I've ever seen, and the facilities need some updating. You can see many memories of what used to be, such as the swimming lake/beach now turned into a fishing lake.
If you enjoy large get togethers and a bit of partying, this is a great place. The owner put our group alone in an open field away from others, and told us we could be as loud as we wanted. Definitely appreciated and we took full...
