We were greeted by a wonderful staff member who was warm, kind and inviting. We had a conversation about her life and wish her happiness and peace through her loss. We appreciated that the location of the property was set back far enough off the highway but it was a little tricky to find. The disappointment came when we got to our room. First thing was finding zero places to hang clothing. There is space available for closet racks or places to install hangar rods but there are none. You ether fold your suit and put it in the drawer or lay it on the back of a chair. Secondly, the smoke detector there was hanging very precariously on the wall and was not connected to the internal wiring. The wires were pushed deep into the wall so it was obvious that it hadn’t been connected in a while. This can definitely put visitors in harms way and needs to be addressed. The third issue was realizing throughout the night as the tub faucet would not completely shut off and kept me awake and was very irritating. A constant drip sound could be a form of torture. Restful hotels are usually enjoyed by the large pillows that engulf you when you lay on them but not at Wingate by Wyndham! We were surprised to find child sized pillows on the bed and were quite shocked. It was laughable and because of all of these unfortunate issues, CANNOT recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights, and we were in town for a wedding. Here are my thoughts. Pros: -pretty reasonable price -quiet, but still close enough to the city to feel like a reasonable driving distance -seems like they're trying to fix up the place -folks at the counter and in house keeping were kind and helpful Cons: -kind of a pain to get to -there are some major issues with the building. Our first room was... wet. The bed, carpet, and walls were just damp. When we moved it was better, but things still felt like... hm, maybe this room is wetter than it should be? It definitely was a bit musty smelling. -while there are updates to the room, there are odd stains on the walls and things that are like... ok let's take care of this. Overall, am I going to cause a fuss? No, it was a cheap hotel and the customer service was legitimately helpful. But I don't think this is currently a good spot to stay for more than a night. Hopefully fixes and updates keep happening and the building gets in better shape!

This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. It should be called a motel. On the morning of my first stay, I informed Nicole(assistant manager??) about hundreds of ants in the room. I was informed that she would send the exterminator. That did not happen while I was there. The following night they was all over the bed. The next morning, I spoke with her again. She assured me that this would be compensated. The compensation was very poor and insulting. Waiting for cooperate to reach out to me. I hope they do. I have a longer video of the ant coming from the bathroom, along the wall, up the night stand and across to the bed but it was too long to post. Do not go to this Hotel, you have been warned.

Checked in at 2 pm but didn’t go to room until 4:45. We were in the outdated room for maybe 5 minutes only to discover the toilet was broken and the bathtub was full of water. Talk about disturbing… expressed concern to the front desk, at this point we just wanted to get settled so I requested another room. I have 3 kids that still needed to eat, get cleaned up and ready for bed. We moved to a newer remodeled room, but they had no tv in the lounging area of the room. Called downstairs they were accommodating and brought one up. By this point it’s 5:30-5:45. There were bad storms, and the power went out. I walked downstairs to ask if they had heard anything about an estimated time for the power to return, they said no it could be hours. I have 3 small children, it’s cold out, I can’t have them sitting in a cold dark room with no way of heating food or keeping them warm. So I asked the lady at the desk if we leave to find another rooom with power would we get refunded. Her answer was “I don’t see why you wouldn’t, call me tomorrow when we have power”. So we packed our things and left.

Moving to the next day, I call and get her manager. THE ABSOLUTE RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. He insisted on telling me he will not give a refund, and compared it to going to a restaurant eating the food then asking for a refund. Which is completely wrong. He told me it was our decision to leave (clearly in the best interest for our kids) and that even though we experienced several things wrong with the 1.5 hr stay it wasn’t his problem. He told me he would give a courtesy 50% refund to shut me up, and then proceeded to assume why I was there in the first place. Which was also wrong.. he told me several times I was the only one to have a problem and concern and he wasn’t worried about me or my family and our concerns. He over talked me and got louder and louder to show dominance. Completely unacceptable how I was treated. He wouldn’t even let me explain how or why we had to make the decision to leave in the first place. Had he had the common decency to listen and express concern and be empathetic I probably would have accepted no as the answer, but the way he handled things was not okay. This location and this manager just lost long...

Honest review. We got a 1 br suite. The suite was a great option for anyone who wants space. The venting in the room was awful it was the absolute worst thing about our stay.the ac worked great in the living room area while the bedroom remained hot.the issues arised when we needed to put it on the coldest setting to cool off during the night in the bedroom and the child on the pullout sofa was overly cold and you could feel the temperature change severly when walking from bedroom to living area! We noticed there were 2 vents in the living area and 1 in the bedroom which i believe is why one area was such a different temperature. Room was clean for the most part I would say the walls and windows need to be wipped down between guests better. Breakfast was decent waffle makers some sort of hot egg and meat daily, cereals muffins ,bagels, yogurt, toast, hard boiled eggs, juice water tea coffee... nothing over the top but enough to get a decent free meal for sure. It did get a little crowded in there which made the handicap access during breakfast was very hard for those in wheel chair when this happens. The elevator was iffy always super hot smelled and was very jerky but there are always stairs so not a deal breaker.and the stairwell were actually the cleanest and nicest I have seen in a hotel ever. We were at the end of the hallway and we could hear the elevator ding everytime someone used it again not a deal breaker for us but some might habe an issue with this. It wasnt noisy.we didnt see any activities that shouldne be happeneing or ppl hanging out late.Pool was fine fitness area small but enough. Staff was pleasant no issues. Overall a good stay would use them again for the right price if we needed to be close to an...

Staff got upset with me for asking for hot water to warm up my food at 7:00pm. Staff wasn’t too fond or happy with my presence. They wanted me to leave so I did. I had done nothing wrong, other than being an African American woman. I’ve paid my reservations fees, cleaned behind myself & have been nothing but a breeze. After staying here night 10 I feel discriminated against and completely out of my comfort zone now. I’ve been a member since 2019 and have never ever experienced what I experienced tonight. It’s hard being an African American women but I never thought it mattered so much too Wyndham.

If you want to “ get away “ from your home for vacation because you were off 14 days with PTO from your job like I did , so you decide to get a room just to spend over $1,000 at the wingate hotel then be told that you’re wanted out for no reason then yes come here if not DONT! They are judgmental and distasteful. I would have never imagined such treatment

Hotels these days act like they make the money without the guest! wow what such disbelief the world has come to since when does the guest not bring the money? Oh because I’m black it doesn’t matter to Wyndham. I’ll never be back. What a total disgrace & disgusting to treat people like they are animals. If I could give 0 stars I would and because this is a franchise they can do what they want & there’s nobody to report too! God doesn’t like ugly though. May yall be as...
