I had a recent, utterly abysmal stay at South River Suites, located in Medley, Florida. My reservation was for three nights, from March 20th to March 23rd. Let me be unequivocally clear: this was not a pleasant experience. In fact, it was a profoundly disappointing and frankly, unacceptable one. As a paying guest, and frankly, as someone who expects a basic level of cleanliness and functionality, I was met with a series of frankly appalling deficiencies.
Upon arrival, it was immediately apparent that the housekeeping standards at your property are, to put it mildly, lacking. I immediately noticed the unclean kitchen floors, a detail that sets a rather unsavory tone for any stay. Furthermore, the microwave was in a state that suggested it hadn't been properly cleaned in… well, let's just say a significant amount of time. And the less said about the bathroom shower curtain, the better. It was frankly disgusting. I did, in fact, bring these issues to the attention of staff. While I acknowledge that the shower curtain was eventually replaced, the fact that it was in such a state in the first place speaks volumes about your property's maintenance and attention to detail.
The problems, however, did not end there. On the second day of my stay, I was faced with the complete and utter lack of hot water. This meant I was unable to shower before having to leave for the day. This is a fundamental amenity, and its absence rendered my stay even more inconvenient and frankly, uncomfortable.
Beyond these specific incidents, the overall condition of the property was frankly poorly maintained. The furniture appeared dated and worn, in desperate need of replacement. The general cleanliness was subpar at best. Areas that are often overlooked, such as the spaces between bed frames, were clearly in need of deep cleaning. And the shower itself was riddled with mildew, a clear indication of a lack of proper and regular cleaning.
Frankly, the photographs and descriptions provided online bear absolutely no resemblance to the actual condition of the accommodation I was provided. The disparity between expectation and reality was significant and frankly, misleading.
Given the litany of issues encountered during my three-night stay, including but not limited to the uncleanliness, the lack of hot water, and the generally poor state of the property, I contacted management for a refund. Management denied the refund and failed to offer a partial refund or any other option to address my horrible experience. This shows a lack of customer service and professionalism. I WOULD NOT STAY AT SOUTH RIVER SUITES AND SUGGEST YOU AVOID STAYING THERE. Awful...

Read moreIts definitely not luxurious. And I originally was going to write not so great comment but I haven't been here long. But as i was walking around taking pictures so that Google can post pics of what the inside of the rooms look like. I realize that this has a full kitchen and they have pots and pans spoons cups plates everything refrigerator and freezer. There's no couch or soft chair in the sitting area but I don't mind . if you need somewhere to stay for cheap and you will be cooking your own food maybe for a few days this is a great place for the price. I can even bring an inflatable mattress because the sitting area so big I can throw one in there and have someone sleep there. The balcony that I got is huge. Like a lot of outside space. It's really cold in here so I have had the air conditioner off but it's still cold in here. The whole building is pretty cold which is good because this is Miami and it gets super duper hot. I don't like to sleep in the freezing cold but I imagine this AC blows hard I can't comment on if it will work all night long but when I came in here it was pumping and it was freezing. So at first coming in it's very nice they have couches it looks great on the Outside Inside is a little cheap I guess I think I opted for the cheapest room . But so far it's been quiet it's Ultra weekend maybe people are still out partying. So far no problems I definitely recommend just because sometimes you need somewhere to stay and getting a full kitchen and TV with cable with lots of channels and variety is awesome. Five stars for the price for sure. Especially because so many people have bumped up their prices in the nearby hotels because of ultra Fest this weekend. So all in all if you're looking for luxury this ain't the place but if you want something cheap you will be comfortable and you can watch TV or maybe you want to bring a few friends to crash you can do that with an air mattress they can sleep in the sitting area and you guys can hang out in the huge balcony looks like 10 x 10. Also has a little lawn chair in case you want to tan if you're too hungover to go to the beach. Bathroom is clean too! Toilet works. Door looks strong enough to hold in the stench if somebody happens to be taking a massive dump. But that's okay because it's far from the bed. Also I really like the brands of their shampoo conditioner and soap sets and it...
