I hate to leave a bad review but I am pretty dissappinted. I used to like this place a lot. I hope they fix it. Last two couple of times it has been pretty bad. The previous time we went my wife ordered fried calamari as a starter and the were soggy, greasy, unappetizing color, thrown on a small plate with no presentation at all. My dad ordered the combination fried food, and it wasn't that much different. The color was bad which happens when you have old oil. I ordered the lobster mofongo since the previous time I ordered it it was great....not this time. It tasted old like it was made the day before, plus the amount of lobster was much smaller than last time we went. My wife ordered some fish chunks in sauce and that was pretty good, thougg. And also the crab empanadas. Today we decided to give it another shot since I understand anyone can have a bad day. But just as soon as we got the bread, that bread looked pretty old and unappetizing. Whatever...I gave it a pass. I remembered no to order anything breaded and deep fried since last time it was so bad. My wife decided not to risk it and ordered the fish chunks and they were pretty good again. The crab empanada was also good again, but the lobster empanada had a very unpleasantly fishy taste. Like the lobster was old. Then I got the Crab Enchilado, and just like the lobster empanada had a very old fishy taste, plus it had a lot of shells. I couldn't go one bite without having to spit out a piece of shell. Unfortunately I won't be going back for now. The quality and freshness are just not the same. I thought it was because las time we went at 4 pm and we got the old stuff from lunch...but today we went right at dinner time, and it wasn't better. Too bad, but they...
Read moreBeen a regular customer here for a few years coming every couple of months or so. Today I came with my grandparents and we ordered snapper fillet with beans and tostones. We have never had problems here. Today though, the snapper was absolutely terrible. I ate about half of it, while my grandparents didn't eat more than a quarter of the fish. It was extremely dry and rubbery. We ate our sides and left the fish, called the waitress and she had a manager come. He told us us some story about that the fishes sometimes come like that and it's not their fault. He said he would give us a discount. Since they didn't offer to make us a new fish I ate the rest of it and waited for the discount. I had a feeling they were barely going to help us out and it was true. Out of about 44 dollars they gave us a 4 dollar discount. We left and didn't even give a tip. This was so disappointing... I don't like sending things back to the kitchen, I don't think that should be necessary at a good restaurant. I'm never coming here again and neither is my family. So you just lost us and whoever else reads this review. The service was never good anyway just like the other reviewers said. What pissed me off was that my grandparents ate like one bite of the fish and still the manager had the nerve to give us a 4 dollar discount for something that my grandparents didn't eat that was dry, hard, rubbery So in conclusion, don't come over here unless you wanna chew on some rubbery fish pellejos. A good manager would have just said it's on us and offered another dish for free.... but four dollars off? After all the times we have eaten here... una falta de respeto... Never...

Service is slow, for the most part. The one server/bartender/barista/cashier/food runner/busboy etc… is incredible and disappointing. I came to this restaurants with high hopes. Who appears to be the owner or a close friend of the owner sat at the bar manning the phone, the TV and having mimosas with what I believe is the “manager”. This is all before I even tried their recommendations. Today is a Wednesday at 10:00 in the morning and it has been 35 minutes since I arrived, thankfully their coffee was really good. The menu is extremely large over 80 items on the menu ( it makes you question the freshness of their product). The one employee at the front of the house is stretch thin to say the least. She is a hostess as well, the food arrived at the 40 minute mark , for a sea food restaurant having store bought tartar sauce was very disappointing. Their so called Fish roe tasted like sand, no seasoning at all not in the “fish roe” or the breading. Los tostones rellenos or stuffed fried plantains is an interesting concept poorly executed, the crab meat was tasteless it could be a great appetizer if they put a little more love and knowledge into it. Now dessert was good I had the flan which they claim to do in house, but I am absolutely sure I have tried this flan before regardless of that fact it was good. For sure their coffee is very good at least for my palate but they are very accommodating on making you a coffee to your liking. I probably try their lunch or dinner menu in some other occasion but my first impression was below average. 2 appetizers 2 coffees 1 Dessert Will cost you about $40 including...
