Fair View Inn & Suites — Hotel in Memphis

When we first arrived the hotel seemed nice and decent. The bathroom upfront by the check in desk was nice and clean as well as the kitchen for breakfast. So we continued to check in. The two men working up front were speaking in a different language. Once we got the room card we headed to the room. We made sure to check out the room. The shower wasn't working properly and the mini fridge in the room was dirty and frozen over on top. No biggie, we can just shower somewhere the next day. I went to check the AC before we turned it on since it was hot outside. The AC was full of mold. I walked to the main office and asked to switch rooms. The desk clerk didn't believe me and sent the other man to check it. We got back to the room and he continued to look at our suitcases and see what we had unpacked and see who else was in the room. He looked into the AC and tried to tell me it was dust. It was clearly purple and green. That's not dust. I told him and he told me to just turn it on and it'll blow out. That can make me MAJORLY SICK! He refused to switch my room until I told him that if i got sick I was suing. I walked back down to the office to switch rooms finally and he asked me if my girlfriend was my prostitute and how much I was paying her!! I felt so unsafe I told him my boyfriend would be there later. He then said he would be back down to make sure there were only two people. I brushed it off. The room he gave us was not a single bed like i asked.. It was a double. Again the shower didn't work but that was fine but the sheets were filthy and stained. We felt so unsafe we barricaded the doors and even checked the room for cameras!! Never have I had to do this. We sat outside for about 30 minutes before deciding to look for another hotel. I had booked this hotel in advance so it was cheaper. Now i was having to spend $130 on a hotel because they made us feel so unsafe. We went back to get a refund and they made it a hassle. Once we finally got one we went back to the room to get our bags. As we were getting them the man who had come to check the AC was looking in our window and watching us. And continued to pace outside our door. We left and as I was returning the final room key my girlfriend sat in the car with a bat ready to defend herself she was so scared. We headed to the comfort inn across the street and saw the same men headed across the street to the same parking lot as us. They were on foot. So we left and headed to La Quinta....

BEWARE OF THE JUMPING RATS IN THE ROOMS!!!!! This hotel should be shut down. The management staff are rude and could care less about the facilities cleanliness or theirs guests. This hotel has RATS and they are rats that climb onto the side table and try to jump in the guest bed!!!! These rats are in multiple rooms. I called to request a refund due to rats in the room and the front desk clerk told me NO. He did NOT offer me another room free of rats, he didn't come to investigate my problem, nor did he offer me a partial refund or and apology. I later learned that he didn't come because they(management) are AWARE THAT THEY ARE INFESTED WITH RATS!! They are filthy people! The sheets and towels there are suppose to be white but the are dingy and brown in color. You will see stains still on the towels after they have been washed. Bleach is cheap!!! This is POOR washing and POOR sanitation of their part. They are CHEAP and FILTY there. The pillows are NASTY too. My grandbaby had to be treated for ringworm after staying at THIS hotel due to nasty pillows. They do no change or wash the bedding as they are suppose to after guests checkout nor do they sanitize properly. This property is a haven for prostitutes and drugs parties. I overheard an argument at 3:00 am with two guys arguing about "HOES" as they called them and a deal gone wrong in the room. The mattress was nasty and covered with stains, They use a cloth mattress to cover it instead of buying new mattresses for the safety of their guest. These folks are extremely nasty and cheap. All I can say is BEWARE and STAY AWAY! It is better to pay a few extra dollars and go elsewhere for a CLEAN room then to stay at this dump AND CATCH A FUNGUS INFECTION!!! The owners are rude as hell and could care less about the comfort level of their guest or their health !!!!!!! The cleaning staff clean as they are trained by management which is VERY POORLY with cheap supplies !! The trash cans are dirty inside the rooms and on the outside. The health department needs to investigate this facility. Also ,beware of the young women walking around half naked advertising for their JOB!!! NASTY!!!NASTY!!! NASTY!!!!! YOU HAVE...

1st time staying here. My husband and I are truck drivers for FedEx and was taking the night off before pick up tomorrow. I wanted a nice night with jacuzzi tub and found this one with pictures on google. It looked nice and the reviews were all over the place. I called and it was available for $180/night. A little high but we wanted to relax. We get here and the manager gave us a card key to check out the room before we paid----that was different but appreciated. We walked in and looked around quickly, matched pictures to the hot tub and that's about all we looked at.

We paid and "moved in"! The toilet had a push button on lid and you have to have the tank lid just situated for it to work. Room some what out dated but wanting to not leave and just make the best of it----Untill----a couple hours later I went to ask for 2 extra towels for the hot tub and was told he put 2 in the shower. I said yes, but those will be used for shower and not dry enough for tomorrow morning. He said 2 is all I can give you!

I wasn't going to leave a review because just chalking the room up to 1970's porn star and little out dated UNTIL he decided not to give just 2 extra towels for use of hot tub along with towel mat to get out. There are burn holes in comforter, cold water handle to hot tub is rigged up, 2 out dated wall AC Units, and computer chairs for extra seating. Well now at $180 pretty sure I should get 8 towels and a free night for next time!

Don't come for this room---definitely not worth it. I was just trying to keep my mouth shut and pay their light bill at this price, since no one is staying here and knowing it's a hole in the wall! Won't Be Back!! Really...
