My husband and I were married at the Red Clover Inn on October 8, 2016, and I cannot be complimentary enough about our experience there. Choosing to have our wedding at the Red Clover Inn was the best decision that we made about our wedding. We had a totally smooth, flawless, and stress-free weekend. In conjunction with the exceptional Red Clover staff, we hosted an intimate 80-person weekend-long celebration that we will treasure for the rest of our lives. Innkeeper Carol PetitBon was the lynchpin of our experience. She is a wedding planning veteran with a wealth of experience. Carol and I worked closely together to craft a celebration that felt totally personal. She has planned many weddings at the Red Clover, and has an instinctive ability to suggest ways to make the day go more smoothly. Carol had many wonderful suggestions about ways to personalize the Inn. As a destination bride, Carol made it easy to plan a wedding from afar. She was always happy to talk and discuss details, even months in advance. I particularly appreciated her vendor recommendations. Carol connected us with our florist (Pittsfield Garden Center), DJ (MC Sounds), salon (Five Elements), rental company (Celebration), and cake baker (Trillium Fine Desserts). Each vendor was outstanding. When we arrived for our wedding, we met with Carol about the details of the weekend, and after that, we had nothing to worry about for the rest of our time there. She and her staff created intimate, stunning spaces in our tent and throughout the Inn itself, with no detail left out, throughout all of our wedding events. Also deserving of special mention is the amazing food, created by Chef Jake. From Friday evening’s home-style barbecue rehearsal dinner, to breakfast buffets that left us warm and full, and especially our locally sourced wedding feast that had a bunch of foodies practically moaning in pleasure, each bite was a treat. We appreciated the special care he and the rest of the staff took for our friends who have special dietary needs. We received so many compliments on the food from all of our guests for the entire weekend, and we cannot wait to dine again at the restaurant for many years to come. The staff was equally wonderful. Attentive, caring, detail-oriented –they are well-oiled machine. Beverage manager Thomas suggested amazing beers, cider, and wines for us. Bartender Dylan kept everyone well-supplied all weekend. The servers were always smiling and kind, and make it all seem easy. We felt so taken care of. The Inn itself is very cozy, with well-kept, beautifully decorated rooms. It was the perfect size for our immediate families and our wedding party, and having all of them stay onsite allowed us to spend extra time with these special people. Everyone who stayed with us was very complimentary about the rooms’ comfort and amenities, as well as those of the common areas, which make it easy to hang out informally or find a place to have a quiet moment away from the group. Having the entire Inn to ourselves all weekend really made it feel like home. My husband and I could not have asked for a better wedding weekend. Our guests all said that it was the best wedding that they had ever attended, and it was such a wonderful note on which to begin our marriage. We will always be thankful to Carol, Jake, and the rest of the staff at the Red Clover for giving us such a wonderful celebration, and of course we highly recommend the Red Clover Inn to...
Read moreI was a Bridesmaid in my sisters wedding last weekend, and despite all traditions and superstitions of "expect at least one thing to go wrong during your wedding and move on", this weekend was flawless. My sister worked with Carol for a few months leading up to the event. Carol and staff were pro's who knew exaclty what the bride wanted before the bride knew she wanted it. We checked in the night of the rehearsal dinner to beautful rooms. As part of the deal, there was no site fee if we booked the whole hotel, and I definately recommend doing that. I stayed in Claire, one of the fancier rooms. We had a King bed, flat screen tv, fireplace, balconey with chairs, jacuzzi hottub, and large shower. The stuffed armchair in the window got beautiful morning sun and the air vent next to the hot tub heated the floor for when you stepped in and out. We got ready in my room, and Carol brought us up glasses for our morning mimosa's, extra chairs to get our hair done, and kept us on track by checking up on us every once in awhile. Lunch was provided by the hotel at the request of the Bride. It was declicous of course, and varied, so all the picky eaters (im talking gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and 5 year olds) had more than enough options. The hotel itself was a delight, with complimentary breakfast in the morning. My picky vegetarian boyfriend, as well as my picky five year old neice, both had delicious and diverse breakfasts each morning. Each room we walked through (we had run of the whole inn, again) had something new that we didn't know we wanted until we saw it. Fresh baked cookies and cucumber lemon water in one room. A keaurig with coffee and tea as well as bags of microwavable popcorn (and a microwave) in another. Couches strewn throughout, and each room had a wonderful view of the mountains or their beautiful inn. That was a especially helpful during the wedding. The wedding itself was held outside, by the pond which is apparently regularly 'bombed for bugs', and the grounds are too. It worked, as I didnt see a single bug in the middle of August. The hotel crew set up the chairs, put out beautful end of the aisle decorations, with a chalkboard sign welcoming the guests. The rehearsal dinner was outside as well, under the apple tree which is wrapped in lights and provided welcome shade for some of our older guests. After the ceremony, the staff brought us some of the cocktail hour hordeurves, to make sure we got some if we were too busy with pictures. An old red barn provided a beautful backdrop for pics, as did a tunnel of birch trees. The reception food was declicious. The bar staff was friendly and educated on their product, and handled any ornery relatives that didn't want to get cut off from the bar but should. Throughout the rooms were couches that were very welcoming late in the night. The grounds has a Jacuzzi that was the perfect way to end the night. Throughout the wedding, the crew collected and saved many of the important or memorial peices of the wedding. Our bouquets were in vases by check out. The menus, the placecard holders, the brides gifts, etc were all saved and secured for us. They also had the brides phone, and my shoes! At a request from the groom they even packed up some of the breakfast for him to take with him (it was that good). Everyone really did everything they could to ensure that this was a memorable wedding for all the right reasons, and we will be...
Read moreThe Red Clover Inn is an absolute hidden gem, and was the perfect venue for our wedding. We had the entire Inn and property to ourselves for our wedding weekend, and Carol (the innkeeper) and her staff truly made us feel like family the entire time. The Red Clover is close to lots of fun nature activities (biking, hiking, great restaurants), convenient to nearby hotels and store (10 min drive away), with beautiful mountain views the whole time. The Killington area was gorgeous for our June wedding, and I’m sure all seasons are special at this location nestled in the Green mountains.
Besides being in a gorgeous and relaxing location, the rooms at the Red Clover Inn are beautifully maintained, elegant, and spacious. Having the entire inn, we were able put up our families for the weekend, as well as our wedding parties in the carriage house, and a group of friends in the farmhouse. The detached farmhouse is an amazing, bright and sunny space that we really enjoyed! We were able to utilize it as an additional hangout space while preparing for the weekend, and as a place to continue celebrating with close friends once the official party wound down. The hot tub was also a big highlight! The spacious backyard allowed for our guests to play ample lawn games and enjoy a bonfire both nights of the weekend. The indoor space of the inn was handsomely decorated, with an excellent tavern room and separate sitting rooms, and was spacious enough to accommodate our 120 guests while a spring shower passed overhead.
Finally, the staff at RCI are incredibly skilled and professional. Carol did an incredible job organizing the wedding weekend and was helpful guiding us through the steps of planning. She and her staff set up everything we needed on the day of our wedding and we didnt have to worry about a thing! Her husband Mike, the head chef, prepared a delicious reception meal. The serving and bar staff were wonderfully kind, helpful, and talented (many guests commented on how good the cocktails were and how fun the staff was!) Overall, the Red Clover provided the ideal combination of allowing us to create our unique wedding weekend and supporting and guiding us along the way. We would highly recommend booking for weekend getaway or for your wedding, and we are excited to return for a visit...
